Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the broad change from 2007 to 2010, including separate parking areas and the addition of a bus station and roundabouts. However, the account is brief and does not clearly report the main layout changes: the bus stops were removed, the former shared car park became staff-only, and a public car park was added east of Ring Road. The statement that there was a separate bus station in 2007 contradicts the maps; there were individual bus stops instead. The overview is vague and includes unsupported claims about congestion and patient benefits. The response also falls 16 words short of the required 150, limiting the detail available. Describe the changes accurately and objectively, with a clear overview.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response has a basic sequence, moving from the 2007 arrangement to changes in 2010, and phrases such as “In addition to that” signal an attempt to connect ideas. However, the ideas are not arranged into clear paragraphs or a consistent comparison, and several sentences repeat the general claim that the hospital was developed. The contrast between the years is also difficult to follow, particularly in “there was seperate bus station available in 2007,” which conflicts with the previous sentence. Organise the response into an introduction, an overview, and a paragraph describing the main changes. Use clear references to each year and connect related features rather than adding loosely linked comments.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “car park,” “Bus station,” and “roundabout,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or repetitive, such as “less no of facility,” “car side,” and “fully facilitate.” “Separate bus station” is also used imprecisely for the bus stops shown in 2007. Spelling errors such as “seperate” and “roundbout” further reduce accuracy. Aim for precise map-description vocabulary and avoid evaluative phrases about convenience or patient benefits that the maps do not establish. For example, describe a facility as being added, removed, relocated, or redesignated.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response mainly uses short, simple statements, with a few attempts to combine ideas using “whereas” and “as compared to.” These attempts show some range, but sentence control is inconsistent. For example, “This below map shows the development of hospital in 2007 to 2010” has problems with article use and sentence construction, while “as i shows how congested the hospital of 2007” is not a complete, well-formed clause. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “In 2007 ,” and lowercase “i.” Practise accurate comparative structures, such as “In 2010, the shared car park was divided into…,” and check articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries before submitting.
