Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that some citizens believe that moving to an other country can be hard and disadvatageous because of the foreign language. Meanwhile, other people and I, think that this trend can improve both of their social interactions and skills of the language.
Some people argue that living in country where you have to speak a new language can cause both social and pratical issues. Since individuals may face a lot of challanging and dangerous problemes. For instance, students or workers who go to leave abroad will find more difficulties to have a conversation such as when they will pay their taxes, or even the most basics situations of their daily lives like if hey have to go to the hospital and may face an urgances, they will have to speak with the foreign language while their mental think with their natal languge, which can be really hard and stressing for both people and doctors.
On the other hand there are some people who think that this topic can have more benefits and positive impacts, and I completly agree with it. I strongly believe that speaking a foreign language may help both teenagers and adults to improve and enhance their skills and knowlegde in the language they practice. Because they will face differents situations of the life which will help them to cultivate their grammar and lexical. For this reason they will be able to learn easily and rapidly with practicing every day, and if they face difficult problems such as hospital they can use The internet in wrost case.
In conclusion, there are several opinions about this topic. On the one hand some individuals believe that living in a countrey where you have to speak a foreign language may be detrimental and harmful for some people. On the other hand I think that can help them mentally since they will be in the obligation to speak the language.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the issue and make your own view clear in the introduction and again in the conclusion: you believe living abroad can improve language skills. The examples about paying taxes and seeking hospital care are relevant to the practical and social difficulties in the prompt. However, the benefits are developed mainly as language practice, so the social-problem aspect and how it might be overcome receive less attention. The claim that people can use the internet in a worst-case situation is not explained enough to show how it resolves an urgent communication problem. To strengthen the response, explain your position more fully and support each main point with a specific example. The response meets the required length; eight words copied from the task prompt were excluded from the count.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting difficulties, a paragraph giving your view, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the argument. However, the progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, particularly in the long hospital example, where several situations and consequences are joined together. The opening also introduces “other people and I” before the opposing view is clearly established, which makes the argument’s direction less smooth. Some linking phrases, including “For this reason,” connect ideas mechanically rather than showing the precise relationship. Use shorter, more focused sentences and make each paragraph develop one main point in a clear sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “social interactions,” “practical issues,” “detrimental,” and “enhance their skills,” and the reader can generally understand your meaning. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices, collocations, and spelling errors make expression less precise. Examples include “challanging and dangerous problemes,” “cultivate their grammar and lexical,” and “in the obligation to speak.” Some repeated general terms, such as “problems” and “language,” also limit variety. Aim to learn common word partnerships and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise expressions for communication barriers, everyday tasks, and language development would help you explain your ideas clearly without relying on broad or unnatural phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “Since,” “which,” and “while.” This shows an effort to connect causes, examples, and consequences. However, complex sentences are often not controlled successfully, and errors in sentence boundaries, articles, agreement, and verb patterns can make the reader work to follow the meaning. For example, “Since individuals may face…” is a sentence fragment, while “living in country” lacks an article and “I think that can help” omits a subject after “that.” The hospital example also runs through several clauses without clear punctuation. Practise building complete sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses carefully; check articles and subject–verb patterns during revision.
