Student answer (Band 5.5)
living in a country where people are reauired to use a foreign langugae for communication may cause a serious socical and practical.although i partially agree with that these problem can be overcome with the passage of time by learing the language and through communication with local people.
When people traved from their country to the other coutry which have different language and norms and they did not have any kind of experience to speak in their native languge, they get frustrated. Howerver if you stuck in a situation in the other country and you did not know how to communicate your problem to the other. Despite the fact of having a number people arround you and you want to commuincate but you did not then you felt alone .Althouh you have a practical knowledge and degree but you did not get a skilled job .You can not describe your health condition to the doctor if you feeling ill.
on the other hand as the tecnology bacame advanced new apps have been introduced and you can now communicate through that app .some pepole learned the lnaguage and enhance their communication skill. By learning the languge you can get a better job and secure your future and made yourself financially strong.
In conclusion, although living in a country where a foreign language is spoken can create social and practical difficulties, I believe these challenges can be overcome by learning the local language and adapting to the new environment

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You take a relevant, partly balanced position: the introduction says you “partially agree,” and the conclusion explains that language learning and adaptation can reduce the difficulties. You also address both social problems, such as feeling alone, and practical ones, including finding skilled work and explaining a health condition to a doctor. However, these points are mostly listed rather than explained with specific examples or fuller reasoning, and the discussion of technology and language learning is brief. The response therefore addresses the task only partially, with ideas that remain under-developed. It is also four words below the required 250-word minimum. To strengthen the response, develop each main point with a clear explanation or relevant example, and ensure the essay meets the minimum length.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph describing difficulties, a contrasting paragraph about ways to adapt, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “However,” “on the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the argument. Nevertheless, progression within the body paragraphs is uneven: several different consequences are placed together without clear development, and the shift from social isolation to employment and healthcare is abrupt. Some linking expressions are awkward or do not clearly connect the ideas, while punctuation and sentence boundaries make parts difficult to follow. Organise each body paragraph around one central point, then explain it before moving on. Clearer sentence breaks and more precise referencing would make the progression easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “frustrated,” “communicate,” “skilled job,” “health condition,” and “financially strong.” These choices show that you can express several social and practical consequences. However, the range is limited and some phrases are imprecise or unnatural, such as “a serious social and practical,” “a number people,” and “secure your future and made yourself financially strong.” Frequent spelling errors—including “reuired,” “langugae,” and “socical”—also make the writing less clear and reduce the accuracy of your word use. Build a bank of topic-specific collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions for isolation, employment barriers, and adapting to a new society would help you communicate your ideas more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional idea in “if you stuck in a situation” and a contrast introduced by “although.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to understand. For example, “these problem can be overcome” has problems with agreement and sentence structure, while “you can not describe your health condition to the doctor if you feeling ill” is missing a verb form. Tense and subject consistency also shift in “you felt alone” and “you did not get a skilled job.” Sentence boundaries and capitalization need attention as well. Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them using conjunctions, checking verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation.
