Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The essay addresses the prompt by acknowledging both the social and practical challenges of living in a foreign country while offering a counter-perspective regarding technology and government support. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention that language barriers lead to isolation, this point could be expanded with more specific examples of how this affects daily social integration. Similarly, the discussion on technology is a bit general; explaining how specific tools like AI translation bridge the gap in high-stakes situations (like medical emergencies) would strengthen the argument. The response covers all parts of the task, but the depth of analysis remains at a moderate level.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with,' 'In addition,' 'On the other hand,' and 'In conclusion' to signal the progression of your argument. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel slightly forced. For example, the transition between the second and third paragraphs could be smoother to better contrast the challenges with the solutions. Additionally, there are some issues with referencing; for instance, in the second paragraph, the phrase 'which produce difficult' is grammatically awkward and disrupts the logical flow of the sentence. Overall, the structure is coherent, but the use of cohesive devices could be more natural.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'isolation,' 'initiatives,' and 'misunderstanding.' However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations that hinder precision. For example, you write 'any people have lack of communication skills' instead of 'people lack communication skills,' and 'living in any foreign county to create' instead of 'living in a foreign country creates.' These errors are frequent enough to be noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('many international students faces'), article usage ('in a their local language'), and sentence fragments or run-on sentences ('While these situation undoubtedly create... I partially agree'). These errors are persistent and sometimes distract the reader, although they rarely impede overall communication. You attempt complex structures, but they often contain errors that affect the accuracy of the sentence. Increasing your control over basic grammar and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would significantly improve your score in this criterion.
