Student answer (Band 6.5)
Staying in a nation where foreign language is spoken can have severe social consequences and practical issues face by natives. To major extent i agree to this viewpoint. My preference regarding this topic is explained further.
One of the foremost reasons is that, trade and business become difficult in the nation due to language barrier. When customers not have idea of language spoken across the nation it becomes challenging to explain their demands to sellers and as a result seller may end up facing loses in the business. For instance, if customer is Chinese and came to India and have to purchase the species used for cooking but speaking in Chinese so shopkeeper do not understand that language so not able to satisfy wish and end up losing one customer.
In addition to that, people not able to connect with people who speaks other languages. Due to that reason person feels inferior as they do not able to fit in culture and tradition of the natives which they follow as they do not able to have the dominance in language spoken all across the country. For example, American not able to join with Indian people as they do not have good command in Hindi language, which is the national language of the country, but they do not know sufficient knowledge of that language.
In conclusion, country in which dominance of native language is more than there will be serious issues too who speaks foreign language. Problems like hinderance to economic growth and share of culture and tradition will be restricted at some amount. In my viewpoint it will be difficult task for the speaker who speaks different language than the language spoken in the country where they stay.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both social and practical problems. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The examples provided, such as the Chinese customer in India, are relevant but lack depth and sophistication. The position is clear, but the arguments could be more thoroughly extended to reach a higher band. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not fully synthesize the points made. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph explores the implications of the arguments more deeply rather than just stating them.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the argument. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive (e.g., 'In addition to that', 'Due to that reason'). There are also instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed, such as the transition between the business argument and the example provided. The referencing is occasionally unclear, which affects the overall progression of ideas. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the coherence of the essay.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There is a reliance on basic vocabulary, and some word choices are slightly unnatural, such as 'major extent' instead of 'great extent' or 'dominance in language' instead of 'proficiency'. Some errors in word formation and collocation occur, such as 'facing loses' (losses) and 'hinderance' (hindrance). To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary to express complex ideas more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Common issues include missing articles (e.g., 'in nation', 'in language'), subject-verb agreement errors (e.g., 'customers not have idea', 'people not able to connect'), and incorrect verb forms. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction, particularly the use of auxiliary verbs and articles, will significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
