Nowadays, many people especially young adults prefer studying abroad because of better career opportunities and high-quality education. Some people argue that living in a country where the language barrier is a serious problem can cause practical difficulties. Although living in another country offers advantages, it also has several drawbacks. From my perspective, I agree with this statement to some extent.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both social and practical problems associated with living in a foreign-language environment. You clearly state your position in the introduction and maintain it throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While you mention the job market and health issues, the connection between language barriers and these specific problems could be more deeply explored. For instance, the example of Germany is relevant, but the explanation of how the language barrier specifically creates these challenges is a bit brief. To reach a higher band, ensure that every point made is fully supported with clear, logical reasoning rather than just stating the problem.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. You use cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'Although', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader through your argument. However, there are instances where the flow is slightly mechanical, and some transitions between sentences feel abrupt. For example, the jump from discussing job market challenges to the trend of studying abroad in the second paragraph lacks a smooth transition. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally into the next will help improve the overall cohesion of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'career opportunities', 'international universities', and 'critical thinking'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'have require higher taxes' and 'higher pay salary jobs'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your expression. To improve, focus on learning the correct grammatical forms of words (e.g., 'requires' instead of 'have require') and common collocations used in academic contexts. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise, less common academic terms would also be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is a positive step. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Germany have many', 'many people faced') and article usage (e.g., 'in another countries'). Some sentences are also structurally incomplete or awkward, such as 'Living in a developed countries have require higher taxes'. While these errors rarely prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they are frequent enough to impact the overall fluency. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and pluralization will significantly improve your score.
