In today's globalized world, many people choose to work, live and study in a foreign country where you have to speak in multilingual languages, that are quite different from your own native speech. However, some individuals adapt themselves to unknown environment. While significant proportion of people faced isolation and practical problems. I firmly agree that language barriers often result in considerable social problems, particularly during the initial stages of settlement. IN this essay, i will discuss both perspectives.
In contemporary society, youngsters are migrating from their hometown to other countries for better career. This may bring challenges to individual's life. The youth suffer from social integration owing to limited language skills. There are significant impacts on pupils' life when moving to an unknown country. Firstly, overseas students face from languages. This is the major effect that most people go through from it. Probing ahead, another most underlying effect of language in other countries is lack of interest in other perspectives of living. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by acknowledging both social and practical problems. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the claim that language barriers lead to 'brain disorders' is an unsupported and illogical assertion that detracts from the quality of the argument. While the essay covers the required aspects, the explanation of how these problems manifest is often superficial. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the points made. To improve, ensure that arguments are grounded in reality and provide more detailed examples to support your claims.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or misused. For example, 'Probing ahead' is an unnatural transition, and the connection between sentences within paragraphs is occasionally weak. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'This is the major effect that most people go through from it.' While there is a logical progression from the problem to the solution, the flow between ideas could be smoother and more sophisticated.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward collocations and word choice errors, such as 'multilingual languages' (redundant), 'facing from' (incorrect preposition), and 'perform good result' (unnatural phrasing). While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, the errors occasionally impede the clarity of your message. To reach a higher band, focus on learning common collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary rather than repeating basic terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'this issues'), incorrect article usage, and punctuation errors (e.g., 'IN this essay, i will...'). Some sentences are fragmented or lack clarity due to grammatical slips, such as 'immigrants may encounter different obstacles. Consequently, it leads to brain disorders.' While these errors do not completely prevent understanding, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency of the writing.
