Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 171 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you state your position clearly in the introduction and conclusion, the supporting arguments are underdeveloped. For instance, the example regarding 'indian workers' is vague and lacks sufficient detail to illustrate the social problems mentioned. To improve, you must expand on your points with more specific examples and explanations to ensure the task is fully addressed. The current length prevents a thorough exploration of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices like 'firstly', 'secondly', and 'in following paragraphs'. However, the flow between sentences is often mechanical, and some transitions are awkward, such as 'so I'm fully agreed with previous thesis and causes'. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the logical progression of ideas is hindered by the brevity of the paragraphs. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, well-developed topic sentence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is limited and repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'boar' instead of 'bored', 'woekplaces' instead of 'workplaces', and 'admires' which does not fit the context. You rely on basic vocabulary, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas about social and practical challenges. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary related to the topic of language barriers and social integration. Proofreading for spelling errors is also essential, as these mistakes occasionally impede the clarity of your message.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include missing articles ('a important role', 'in a flight'), incorrect verb forms ('has become difficult to understand others feeling'), and punctuation errors. These errors are noticeable and sometimes make the text difficult to follow. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Increasing your control over simple structures before moving to complex ones will help improve your overall accuracy.
