Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued that living in a foreign country where one must use a different language leads to significant difficulties. I completely agree with this view because language barriers can create major social isolation as well as serious practical challenges in daily life. This essay will discuss of these issues.
The most obvious problem is social isolation. In this point most of people cannot build there relations with other. They cannot understand the jokes, talks, and there cultural .For example , at works and some parities they can sit alone at one side because they cannot understand the conversations of other individuals. In this way they can suffer some health related issues such as anixtey, depression.
The second reason behind is that misunderstandings leads to conflict in this case some of human cannot understand there wrong words and tone of the talk such as most Asian countries going through and its become sometimes rude and angry situations.
Apart from social issues , there are also major practical difficulties. Firstly they facing lot of problem at there work places because of poor communication also they cannot get promotions or can't do there job properly. For instance a nurse who cannot explain proper treatment there patients they faces lot of problems during working hours. Secondly they also face problems in there daily life such as banking , hospitals, dealing with government. At that time they cannot understand what people said and what should they do. For example its become sometimes dangerous like not understanding the medicines.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that having a speak a foreign languages cause serious issues in both points social as well practical problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both social and practical problems associated with language barriers. The position is clear from the introduction and maintained throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited; for instance, the point about 'Asian countries' is vague and lacks a clear connection to the argument. While the essay covers the requirements, the supporting examples, such as the nurse scenario, are brief and could be more thoroughly explored to reach a higher band. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and lacks a summary of the main points, but the overall task is addressed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each focusing on a specific aspect of the prompt. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'The most obvious problem', 'The second reason', and 'Apart from social issues', which help guide the reader. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed, particularly in the second paragraph. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the use of 'there' instead of 'their' throughout the text, which creates minor confusion for the reader.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There is a reliance on basic terms, and some word choices are inaccurate or awkward, such as 'some of human' instead of 'some people' and 'parities' instead of 'parties'. Spelling errors are frequent, including 'anixtey' and the persistent confusion between 'there' and 'their'. These errors do not completely impede communication, but they do limit the effectiveness of the writing and suggest a need for more careful proofreading and vocabulary expansion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement, article usage, and prepositional phrases (e.g., 'having a speak a foreign languages'). Punctuation is also problematic, with missing spaces after commas and incorrect sentence boundaries. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar structures prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. More attention to sentence construction and proofreading is necessary to improve clarity and accuracy.
