Student answer (Band 5.5)
Residing in a nation where people have to speak another country language can create practical and social issues. To a major extent I agree with the viewpoint. My inclination is justified further.
The foremost argument to support my view is that many people have good command of native language rather than foreign language. Because they have home environment where they mostly speak about local language. As a result, they have a difficulty to make a new friends online or surrounding areas who speak another language. For example, mostly youngsters have a problem with making new connection which have a english speaking abilities. In addition, social interaction is needed for outside home. This is because at shopping mall, bank and in public transportation little knolwedge of that area language is required. Hence, they face issues if they do not know local language very well.
Moreover, individuals face difficulty at workplace also. If speakers have difficulty in a local language, they cannot communicate well with other co workers. Therefore, it may affect work or project deadline. For instance, Indian professionals have a difficulty in Germany company where Germany is widely spoken.
However, other side cannot be ignored for some reasons. The most important is introduction of the technology. Since there was a improvement in technology, many people got benefit of it. There are many language translators are available which can be use at public place. Hence, individuals do their work very easily.
In conclusion, although there are solution available such as language translator, I believe that people face many difficulty in making new friends and at workplace.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both social and practical problems associated with living in a foreign-language environment. You clearly state your position in the introduction and maintain it throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the example regarding 'Indian professionals in Germany' is relevant but lacks sufficient detail to fully illustrate the depth of the 'serious' problems mentioned in the prompt. While you cover all parts of the task, the arguments could be extended further with more nuanced analysis to reach a higher band. The conclusion effectively summarizes your stance, though it is quite brief.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'The foremost argument', 'In addition', 'Moreover', and 'However' to signal transitions between ideas. While these devices are functional, they are sometimes used in a slightly mechanical way. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as the phrase 'other side cannot be ignored for some reasons', which feels a bit abrupt. Overall, the structure is coherent and easy to follow, meeting the requirements for this band.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'social interaction', 'public transportation', and 'language translators'. However, there are instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'another country language' instead of 'a foreign language' and 'Germany company' instead of 'a German company'. You also rely on some repetitive vocabulary. To improve, you should focus on more precise collocations and a wider range of academic vocabulary to express your ideas with greater sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, they often contain grammatical errors, such as 'they have a difficulty to make a new friends' (should be 'difficulty making new friends') and 'many language translators are available which can be use' (should be 'used'). There are frequent errors in articles, pluralization, and verb forms throughout the text. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, they are noticeable and occur consistently, which limits the score for this criterion.
