Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some of the country's people are tend to speak their native language rather than various foreign languages as they lead certain complications and issues in society. I completely agree with this thought.

One of the most convincing reason behind my agreement is language barries with local people. To elaborate, if opposite individual is not getting your point properly, it would cause misunderstandings sometime. Moreover, there are some of the fields that require to learn their mother-tounge. For example, in the physiotherapy field therapist should know local language as they have to treat patients on the basis of their chief complaints.

Not only this, being strange with country's national languege is quite problematic. Example as, many nations has the policies that do not use foreign languages, in this type of situations it would be hard to survive for an individual. Furthermore, to shop basic needs also requires communication in native languege. As an example, to buy glossaries you would not prefer online shopping, you have to purchase from local market from shopkeeper.

On the other hand, some people think that it is not necessary to learn a different language to live their, as you have smartphones it is too easy to talk with new people of country. Additionally, many people may concern that to get knowledge about new speaking practice is so much time consuming.

To conclude, learning new language is a necessity of the country for all and especially for medical fied people. Nevertheless, it only enhace the knowledge of perticular person and may helpful in their future too.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by agreeing that living in a foreign country without speaking the language causes problems. You have provided relevant examples, such as the physiotherapy context and the difficulty of shopping. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the point about 'smartphones' as a counter-argument is mentioned but not fully explored or refuted in a way that deepens the discussion. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended with more nuanced reasoning rather than listing several brief points. The position is clear throughout, but the overall depth of analysis is limited.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'On the other hand' to link your thoughts. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'Not only this, being strange with country's national languege'. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, and some transitions between sentences feel abrupt. Improving the flow between sentences and using a wider variety of cohesive markers would enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. There are several spelling errors, such as 'barries' (barriers), 'languege' (language), 'glossaries' (groceries), 'fied' (field), and 'perticular' (particular). Furthermore, some word choices are awkward, such as 'being strange with' instead of 'lacking proficiency in'. While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and the frequent spelling mistakes and imprecise collocations prevent a higher score in this criterion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'Some of the country's people are tend to speak' (should be 'tend to speak'), 'if opposite individual is not getting' (should be 'if the other individual'), and 'many nations has the policies' (should be 'many nations have policies'). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are common areas of error. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency and accuracy of the text.
