It has long been a subject of discussion that______. In my opinion, the former notion has several elements that deserve attention and I will explain by using pertinent arguments. There are a number of arguments in favour of my context. The most important one lies in the fact that people should be extra careful with their decisions. For example, according to a recent survey done by Oxford University, 45 percent of people get benefits from above mentioned notion, whereas 30 percent of people______due to it. Hence, it is a apparent why many citizens are in favour of the above stance. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to address the prompt effectively. The essay is significantly under the 250-word minimum, which limits the development of ideas. Furthermore, the content is largely generic and fails to engage with the specific topic of living in a foreign country and the associated social or practical problems. The use of placeholders like '______' indicates that the essay is incomplete and lacks a coherent argument. The position is not clearly established or supported with relevant examples related to the prompt's theme. To improve, you must fully develop your arguments and ensure all parts of the task are addressed in detail.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

While there is an attempt to use paragraphing and some cohesive devices such as 'The most important one' and 'Another argument', the overall structure is severely compromised by the incomplete nature of the text. The progression of ideas is unclear because the core arguments are missing or replaced by placeholders. The referencing is often vague, as the essay refers to 'the above mentioned notion' without ever defining what that notion is in the context of the prompt. Better logical flow and clearer signposting are required to achieve a higher band.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is repetitive and lacks the precision required for an academic essay. Phrases like 'above mentioned notion' and 'proposed government reforms' are used in a way that does not clearly relate to the topic. There is a lack of topic-specific vocabulary related to language barriers, cultural adjustment, or social integration. The reliance on generic templates rather than original, context-appropriate language limits the range. To improve, focus on using precise terminology relevant to the specific prompt rather than relying on vague, formulaic expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are noticeable errors in punctuation and capitalization, such as '60 Percent' and 'Lastly, In my opinion'. The grammatical control is inconsistent, and the presence of placeholders makes it difficult to assess the full range of your ability. While the errors do not always impede communication, they are frequent enough to be distracting. You should focus on proofreading for basic errors and ensuring that your sentence structures are complete and grammatically sound.
