It is commonly believe that living in country where you have to speak a foreign language can cause serious social problems, as well as practical problems, I partially agree of this statement due to some reasons of this phenomenon which i will discuss in the upcoming paragraphs.
On the one hand, there are myriad aspects regarding this statement. Firstly, better communication through language learning. To elaborate it, when individuals learn better communication through the different languages so they are able to better communicate with each other without any problem due to which it becomes profitable for the mankind. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt but struggles with clarity and logical development. While you state a 'partial' agreement, the arguments presented are somewhat contradictory. For instance, the first body paragraph discusses the benefits of language learning, which does not directly address the 'social and practical problems' mentioned in the prompt. The second paragraph touches on the prompt's theme by mentioning loneliness and academic difficulties, but these points are underdeveloped. To improve, ensure that every paragraph directly supports your stated position and provides specific, concrete examples rather than general statements. The conclusion also fails to clearly synthesize your position, as it repeats the benefits rather than summarizing your stance on the problems.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay uses basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'On the other hand', which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the logical progression within paragraphs is weak. The transition between ideas is often mechanical, and some sentences lack clear connections, such as the jump from 'better communication' to 'profitable for the mankind'. Paragraphing is present, but the internal flow of ideas is disjointed. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider range of cohesive devices (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one to create a cohesive argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'better communication', 'social problems', and 'many factors'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'profitable for the mankind' (which is unnatural) and 'disagree side'. Some phrases are used incorrectly, such as 'agree of this statement' instead of 'agree with this statement'. To improve, you should aim to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and collocations. Expanding your range of synonyms and learning how to use them in context will significantly enhance the sophistication of your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'It is commonly believe' (should be 'believed'), 'living in country' (missing article), 'live in abroad' (incorrect preposition), and 'not able to became friends' (incorrect verb form). The sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma splices in the introduction. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement, article usage, and the correct formation of complex sentences. Proofreading for common errors like missing 'the' or 'a' before nouns would also be beneficial.
