Student answer (Band 5.0)

Living in a country where I have to talk a foreign language can cause serious problems and practical problems. I agree with this.

People who are living in a country and have a foreign person also face social problem and practical problem. Outdoor people have no idea about another countries. When they go to another country they can not adopt another cultural, social and faced realestic problem. Outdoor person did not know another language as well as their cultural. When they appear any country they faced communication with each other, have not knowladge about market, have not idea others thing which they want. For instance, an outdoor people who visit bangladesh for looking the beatuful nature but they have to book hotel. BUt in this country most of people did not know this language. As a result, both people suffer. So, this problem have to face of the foreigners.

Another, some people do not interest with this because they are totslly foreigner and they are not think about their adoptation with their cultural. Because they always lead busy life as well as qualified to commucate with them. That's why they always avoid always.

I fully agree that outdoor people come to the country and faced social problem and practical problem is most important. Because they wanted to know about another country and another cultural. So, I agree with this statement.

In conclusion, I would say that this thing is massive important because foreigner have to right to explore the whole world. So they have to mesure healthy social and good environment so that they can communicate and mix with them.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by agreeing that living in a foreign country causes social and practical problems. However, the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. The arguments provided, such as the example of a tourist in Bangladesh, are somewhat tangential to the core issue of 'living' in a country, as they focus more on short-term visits. The position is clear, but the supporting points lack depth and logical progression. To improve, you should focus on developing specific, relevant examples related to long-term residency, such as language barriers in the workplace or difficulties in accessing healthcare or legal services, rather than general observations.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical flow between and within them is weak. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often misused or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'So' and 'Because' to start sentences. Referencing is frequently unclear; for example, the term 'outdoor people' is used repeatedly but its meaning remains ambiguous in this context. The progression of ideas is disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often inaccurate, which frequently impedes communication. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'outdoor people' (likely meaning 'foreigners' or 'expatriates'), 'adopt' instead of 'adapt', and 'realestic' (spelling error). The repetition of basic phrases like 'social problem and practical problem' suggests a restricted range. To achieve a higher band, you need to move beyond basic vocabulary and focus on using more precise, academic terminology related to the topic of migration and cross-cultural communication, while also paying closer attention to correct word forms and collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often cause difficulty for the reader. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'most of people did not know'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or lack the necessary complexity to demonstrate a range of structures. For instance, 'When they appear any country they faced communication' is grammatically incorrect and confusing. To improve, you should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, including correct verb tenses and the appropriate use of prepositions, before attempting more complex structures.
