Student answer (Band 5.0)

The majority of students living in a different nation for education purpose or business But this country needs a foreign language can create a problems like less interacted with people and practical issue. I firmly agree on this statement because this create a language barriers and lost practical knowledge. This statement will articulated main issues in forthcoming paragraphs.

To commence with, any different language can burden for a student to speak where they have going for learning new things. To explain it, pupil get struggle to understand the conservation and cope difficulty to explain any topic to anyone. For instance, in a grocery store when people go for shopping and they do not talk with anyone for ingredients and the availability for any product. As a result, people lose the hope to make any friends or to be familiar in this country

Secondly, learner face difficulties to learn any practical skills or specific topic. To illustrate, new comers face a problem to decode any useful information about their studies and any presentation would be a task for them. For example, in a university teacher explaining the topic but student struggle to understand the topic whatever going the classroom. Due to this the student do not attempt a examination and can't perform well.

In conclusion, different speaking language create language barriers around the student and push back to them for understanding. Also people have practical difficulty to perform any task. I believe that the country wants to teach a language to everyone with the native language of whatever student have so it will cost efficient method.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by agreeing that living in a foreign country causes social and practical problems. However, the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. While you mention social isolation and academic difficulties, the arguments lack depth and specific, well-explained examples. The conclusion introduces a new, slightly irrelevant suggestion about language teaching methods rather than summarising the main points effectively. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed idea supported by a clear, logical example that directly relates to the prompt's focus on social and practical challenges.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the logical progression is frequently interrupted by awkward phrasing and grammatical errors that make the flow difficult to follow. Cohesive devices are used (e.g., 'To commence with', 'Secondly', 'In conclusion'), but they are often applied mechanically or incorrectly. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the opening paragraph where the connection between the ideas is disjointed. To improve, focus on using transition words more naturally and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one to create a smoother reading experience.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas. There are several instances of incorrect word choice and collocation, such as 'less interacted with people' instead of 'reduced social interaction' and 'lost practical knowledge' instead of 'practical difficulties'. Some phrases are also unidiomatic, such as 'push back to them for understanding'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items, and focus on using words in their correct context to ensure clarity and precision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'this create a language barriers'), sentence structure (e.g., 'The majority of students living in a different nation... But this country needs...'), and article usage. Complex sentence structures are attempted but are often faulty, leading to confusion. The majority of the sentences contain errors, which prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subjects and verbs agree, and proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect verb tenses.
