Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is irrefutable that living in a country where you have to speak a foreign language can cause serious problems but whether it is a positive development or negative is a controversial issue. So, it is little difficult to comment on it. Some people ponder that it has practical problems but. I strongly disagree with it.
There are many reason which I would consider to substantiate my view. The primary is very difficult for society to understand new language. Moreover, one more idea which can be but forward in favour of this is help for the students to learn new language and it is easy to moved another country without any fear of language. Additional, to support my view, I would like too cite an example of village people have very diffuictly too understand new language because village side people are less educated they speak only mother language.
Paradoxically, many people don't like this idea and criticize it as they think it is waste of time to learn new language because they think their get job in hometown with mother language due to some educated people think it is benefits in future to move one country with another country. Furthermore, the other reason which doesn't let them support it is practical problem because the teacher was not well prepared the foreign language. So, it can be inferred why they stand on the other side with different thoughts.
At last, I came to the conclusion that it is very practical problem for village side people to understand. On the side, city people believe it is very helpful for student

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt, but the position is unclear and inconsistent. While you state you 'strongly disagree' with the idea that living in a foreign country causes serious problems, your supporting arguments are disjointed and do not clearly explain why you disagree. The ideas presented, such as the difficulty for 'village people' to learn a language, are under-developed and lack logical connection to your stated position. To improve, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a clear argument that directly supports your thesis statement, and provide more detailed explanations rather than listing disconnected points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often confusing. While you use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'Furthermore', they are often used incorrectly or do not logically link the sentences. For example, the transition 'Paradoxically' does not accurately reflect the relationship between the paragraphs. Additionally, the conclusion is abrupt and does not effectively summarise your main points or restate your position. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas. You frequently use basic terms like 'problems', 'new language', and 'people'. There are also several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'put forward in favour of this is help for the students' and 'village side people'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary, including collocations and topic-specific terminology, and focus on using words in their correct context to ensure your meaning is precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There is a high frequency of grammatical errors throughout the text, which often makes the meaning difficult to follow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'many reason which I would consider'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'easy to moved'), and missing articles or prepositions. Your sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at more complex sentences often result in errors that impede clarity. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
