IELTS Writing Task 2 question

Living in a country where you have to speak a foreign language can cause serious social problems, as well as practical problems.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

Language is way with which a human share their thoughts,feelings and emotions with others. Moreover, we share our feelings deeply in our mother tongue rather than another language and speak a foreign language can cause moot social issues, as well as practical problems. In this essay, I will disscuss both views and give my own opinion.

A fraction of individuals believe that the speak foreign language in a foreign country causes grave social problems to migraters. Because some people do not know how to speak foreign language so when they speak they want to say something else but they mean something else, that cause many problems to some individuals. It is main reason of cause social issues and practical problem. A survey conducted by prestigious newpaper of Britain claimed that speak foreign language cause many choas to some people.For example an old man who ate banana ans throw the peel in red colour dustbin because he does not know foreign language that wrote in the bins it cuase social and practical problem because red bin was for electric disposal and green was for vegetable disposal.

On the other hand, some members of public said that it is not caused any issues to them. In addition to, they know how to speak and understand the foreign language. Moreover, fraction of public have a great interest to learn different language that is why they easily understand foreign language,

In my opinion, speak foreign language do some mess with those people who do not able to understand it. For example, if you on a grocery shop and want to buy milk or other necessary thing then how you tell them when you do not able understand or speak.

Different people have different notions but I have sound reasons to advocate that although foreign language help us in many ways but choas it does not be ovelooked.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently impeded by inaccurate word choices and word formation errors, such as 'migraters' instead of 'migrants', 'newpaper' instead of 'newspaper', and 'choas' instead of 'chaos'. The range of vocabulary is limited to everyday terms, and attempts at less common items result in noticeable errors, such as 'speak foreign language cause many choas'. These errors cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect the characteristics of Band 5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The text displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, with frequent basic errors. Simple sentences predominate, and attempts at complex structures are almost always faulty, as seen in 'speak foreign language do some mess with those people who do not able to understand it' and 'when you do not able understand or speak'.
