Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often argued by some people that living in a other country and you can speak only foreign language can cause social and pratical problems. I totally agreed with this opinion. Not only because of problem in shoping and in your daily job, but also because of problem in daily life.
There are a lot of problems associated with to speak foreign language. Firstly, it can impact on your daily life. As you go to bazar to buy something, you can face to explaining about the product and also face issues in bargaining. Take an example of Nepal, a newpaper reported a news that 20% foreign visitors face issues in shoping. Thus, this is the major issue associated with foreign language.
Secondly, people can also face some issues in communication at their work. As people can't explain any project without understanding this language. For instance, it is expected that inUSA, by the year 2028, USA companies will held a test system before giving to job to foreign, because they are facing a lot of issues in communication with the foreign employs. Hence, this argument also considers a mega issue to spek foreign language.
Finally, people face issues in daily shoping. As people can go for shoping, they can't communicate with shopkeeper.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position of agreement regarding the social and practical problems of living in a foreign-language environment. However, the ideas are under-developed, repetitive, and lack sufficient depth to fully satisfy the prompt requirements. For instance, the points about shopping and work are brought up multiple times without substantial extension. Furthermore, the response suffers from a significant length penalty, containing only 212 words, which falls short of the minimum 250-word requirement. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed, leading to a band score of 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay demonstrates some basic organizational structure with transitional markers such as "Firstly," "Secondly," and "Finally." However, the overall progression is weakened by severe repetition, notably the redundant discussion of shopping issues in both the introduction/first body paragraph and the final truncated paragraph. Paragraphing is attempted, but the final paragraph is incomplete and abrupt. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and cohesive devices are used rather mechanically. These flaws place the response firmly in the band 5 category for cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and repetitive, which is just minimally adequate for the task. The student attempts some less common vocabulary such as "associated" and "bargaining," but these are accompanied by noticeable word-choice errors, misspelled words like "pratical," "bazar," "newpaper," "employs," and "shoping," and awkward collocations like "give to job." While the meaning is generally understandable despite these lexical inaccuracies, the restricted range and frequent errors reflect a band 5 level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures. Simple sentences dominate, and attempts at complex structures are often faulty or incomplete, such as "living in a other country and you can speak only foreign language can cause..." There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including articles, prepositions, verb tenses, and sentence fragments (e.g., "As people can go for shoping, they can't communicate..."). These errors cause occasional difficulty for the reader and restrict the grammatical score to a band 4.5, rounded to 5.0.
