IELTS Writing Task 2 question
Living in a country where you have to speak a foreign language can cause serious social problems, as well as practical problems.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
Living in abroad has become common now a days.Every country has has its language.Some people argued that by speaking foreign language cas social problems as well as practical problems.I firmly hold both the views if i do not know about language.
Now a days individuals travel to abroad for many purposes like visit,study and meeting.If we are living in abroad we must know about their country language.Many people argued that forein language creats many social problems.For example problem like unemployment if yo do not know about language of his country you face difficulties in getting job.As like poverty when you cannot earn money by taking job you will felt in poverty.
On the other hand some believe that foreign language produced practical problems as well as social problems.They are right because i face issues by taking with other people, asking about routes and also stuck at some points because i cannot read their language rules,limits and regulations.From my own experience last year i made tour of France.When i reached there i face many issues like buying some from shops and talking with people's.However my friends is with me who know about french language so i little remained calm during tour.So i agree both these views foreign language creates social problems as well as practical language.
In conclusion both these problems are serious and also created by foreign language if we do not know.To tackle with these issues we know about foreign language in which we are living.
