Student answer (Band 5.0)
Remaining in a nation where we are forced to speak international language may cause important issue in society living and proffesional life. Living in an area where we have to used a language rather than our own language is quite difficult and can make serious issues. In this essay, i will try to give my honest opinion and to include relevant example from my knowledge.
Language is the main path to social life. If we live in a place where language is different from ours is hard and it can cause difficulties. Moreover, we can't even understand others properly. Living in a foreign country with another tongue can major issues. For instance, we don't understand others properly. As well as, we don't know how to tell our thaughts to others. While, trying this may cause hurdle as they may not understand or gain false statement.
Working in a area where no one can understand my tongue and my hears are not able to recognise their language is big hurdle. Their is no chance of teamwork. As, the whole surrounding use a different language and my expertise are null in understanding that words. Understanding eachother wisely is very important in practical life and lack of mutual understanding due to any reason such as language barrier cause serious loss.
In conclusion, I agree with this statement as language barrier may result into significant social and practical hurdles. Moreover, it is highly recommended to learn and get knowlege about their language before moving into a society.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both social and practical problems associated with living in a foreign language environment, and a clear position is maintained throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the point that 'we don't understand others properly' is repeated multiple times without significant extension or introduction of diverse examples. While personal experiences are mentioned, they lack detailed elaboration. The conclusion aligns with the stance taken, but overall, the task response sits firmly within the Band 5 descriptors due to the under-development and repetitiveness of the central ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing a basic structural layout. However, logical progression is hindered by repetitive statements and abrupt transitions, such as 'While, trying this may cause hurdle' and 'As, the whole surrounding use a different language'. Cohesive devices are sometimes inaccurate or awkward, for instance, starting a sentence with 'As well as, we don't know...' or 'While, trying this...'. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion within paragraphs often breaks down, resulting in a somewhat disjointed reading experience that corresponds to Band 5.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive, with frequent lexical and spelling errors such as 'proffesional' instead of professional, 'thaughts' instead of thoughts, and 'eachother' instead of each other. The student attempts less common vocabulary like 'hurdle' and 'significant', but there are noticeable collocation issues, such as 'gain false statement' and 'null in understanding'. The lexical range is minimally adequate for conveying simple meanings, but frequent inaccuracies and limited flexibility restrict the score to Band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and prone to frequent errors when complex structures are attempted. Examples of errors include subject-verb agreement issues ('Their is no chance') and missing articles or prepositions ('If we live in a place where language is different from ours is hard'). Punctuation is also problematic, particularly with misplaced commas separating dependent clauses incorrectly (e.g., 'While, trying this may cause hurdle'). Because frequent errors cause some difficulty for the reader, the writing falls into the Band 5 category.
