Student answer (Band 5.0)
In today's rapidly increasing world the issue of the living in a country where people have to speak a foreign language has been a matter of considerable public interest, promoting widespread debates regarding its impact on individuals and society.
While some people firmly believe that speaking a foreign language can cause a serious social problem, while others argue that this in not a big deal to speak a foreign language. I strongle agree with this view because speaking a foreign language should affect your communication skills as well as the social life where people work.
One major disadvantage of speaking any other language beside from your own language can greatly affect peoples communication skill as well as working speed. People who spoke other language were less proffesional then people who spoke their own language, also language can affect person's social life, it also lead to least career opportunities for students as well as for workers. Language barrier is widely distribued in every country so efficient and accurate word were widely accepted in every where.
Moreover, the drawbacks should be overcome by adapting new way or techniques such as by taking online classes for that specific language. By improving your skills in that language by learning new communication skills by taking online or traditional classes.Learning those things which are new to you which increase your spoken skills.
To conclude, i firmly maintain that spoken another language can cause serious problems. This is primarily because that foreign language is not our first spoken language, while by working on week points or by improving your skills in spoken language can help individuals. Further reinforces this standpoint. Consequently, embracing this perspective would not only benefit individuals, but also countribute to the long term development and over all well-being of society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear stance that living in a foreign-language-speaking country causes serious social and practical problems, which aligns with the prompt's reference to social and practical issues. The writer attempts to develop ideas regarding communication skills, working speed, and career opportunities, as seen in the sentence 'One major disadvantage of speaking any other language beside from your own language can greatly affect peoples communication skill as well as working speed.' However, these ideas remain somewhat repetitive and under-developed, relying on sweeping generalisations rather than fully extended arguments or specific examples. The conclusion reiterates the stance, though with minor confusion in expression. Overall, the task is addressed, placing the response within the Band 5.5 to 6.0 range, solidifying at Band 6.0 for presenting a relevant and clear position throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay is divided into four paragraphs, showing a basic attempt at logical structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the progression of ideas is frequently disrupted by mechanical and faulty cohesive devices. For example, the transitional phrase 'Moreover, the drawbacks should be overcome by adapting new way or techniques' in the third paragraph introduces solutions rather than continuing the sequence of problems, creating a disjointed argumentative flow. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in the phrase 'This is primarily because that foreign language is not our first spoken language, while by working on week points... Further reinforces this standpoint.' Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion lacks flexibility, leading to an overall coherence level characteristic of Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary to communicate basic ideas related to the topic, using terms such as 'public interest', 'communication skills', and 'career opportunities'. However, there are numerous lexical errors and awkward word choices throughout the text. Examples include 'increasing world' instead of 'growing world', 'proffesional' (spelling error), 'distribued' instead of 'widespread', 'spoken another language' instead of 'speaking another language', and 'week points' instead of 'weak points'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently and demonstrate a limited control over less common lexical items, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writing contains a mix of simple and attempted complex sentence forms, but grammatical accuracy is weak throughout. There are frequent errors in verb forms, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions. Notable examples include 'the issue of the living in a country', 'this in not a big deal to speak a foreign language', 'People who spoke other language were less proffesional then people who spoke their own language', and 'which increase your spoken skills' (missing subject or incorrect relative clause agreement). Punctuation is also problematic, particularly in the introduction where a long, run-on sentence joins independent clauses incorrectly with 'while'. Because errors are frequent and often cause difficulty for the reader, the grammar performance aligns with Band 5.0.
