Student answer (Band 6.0)
In many countries, people are always instructed to communicate in foreign language specially in english. It is often argued that this advancement has cosequences including social anxiety, and issues in studies, and at work. I partially agree with this view because it can also broaden the employment opportunites as well as chances to study in abroad.
On the one hand, english as a foreign language have been taught significantly by schooling in many countries. Educational institutions have this course as compulsory subject, which helps people to communicate with people outside the country. Numerous universities offer foreigners to pursue their upcoming degrees, however they prefer candidates with english fluency. If the person has already learned the international language, he would get the opportunity effortlessly. For example, Germany, Italy, and Norway are the European countries who are offering scholarships, and zero tution fee facilities, Nevertheless students must have certificate of specific language fluency. Furthermore, Individuals who are willing to get a job in a different country, the english linguistic backgroud would contribute profoundly.
On the other hand, this advancement also has consequences including psychological issues as well as difficulties at work and in education. A considerable number of employers prevalently ask their personnel to interact in english, However many professionals are not confident enough to talk in nonnative language. These requirements at work reduce the confident,as a result their productivity get affected. Although this is fascinated and essential in schooling these days, it is challenging for unprivileged pupils who are unfamiliar with this speech in their dailylife. For example, private school students who learn all courses in english are generally better to adapt this nonnative language in their routine, but students from government shcools are unable understand the curriculum.
In conclusion, while speaking in foreign language may have consequences such as low confidence and porductivity at workplace, this is beneficial for others when they move in any other country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the negative consequences and the benefits of using a foreign language, and a clear position is presented in the introduction where the writer states, 'I partially agree with this view'. Relevant ideas are introduced regarding employment opportunities, education, social anxiety, and workplace difficulties. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others. For instance, the discussion on university admissions and scholarships in countries like Germany and Italy is reasonably well elaborated, whereas the points concerning psychological issues and reduced confidence at work are somewhat under-developed and rely on general statements. To reach a higher level, all main ideas would need to be fully extended and supported with deeper analysis and more precise examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear progression of ideas from the introduction through body paragraphs to a conclusion. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, separating the opposing viewpoints into distinct sections. Cohesive devices are employed to signal transitions, such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand', and referencing is generally clear throughout the text. Nevertheless, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and certain links or punctuation choices between clauses are faulty, such as comma splices ('reduce the confident,as a result their productivity get affected'). To move into higher bands, the writer would need to employ cohesive devices more flexibly and ensure that inter-sentential connections are entirely natural and unobtrusive.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, successfully conveying the writer's arguments about education and employment. The student attempts less common vocabulary items such as 'compulsory subject', 'scholarships', and 'linguistic background'. However, there are noticeable inaccuracies in word choice, spelling, and word form that prevent the writing from achieving a higher score. Examples of these errors include 'cosequences' (consequences), 'opportunites' (opportunities), 'in abroad' (abroad), 'tution' (tuition), 'confident' (confidence), 'fascinated' (fascinating), 'dailylife' (daily life), and 'shcools' (schools). While these errors do not seriously impede communication, they reflect a limited control over less common lexical items and spelling conventions.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating relative clauses and conditional structures. There are several error-free sentences, particularly in the opening and closing paragraphs. However, a number of grammatical errors persist throughout the text, including issues with article usage ('communicate in foreign language', 'the english linguistic backgroud'), subject-verb agreement ('english as a foreign language have been taught', 'productivity get affected'), preposition placement, and clause structures ('students from government shcools are unable understand'). Punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after commas and run-on structures, are also present. These errors rarely impede communication, but their frequency prevents the grammatical control from reaching a higher band level.
