Firstly, language is considered the key component of communication as it plays crucial role in it. For example, if a person from asia moved to the europe may have the different problems while making social contacts in a new country . Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt only partially, and the length requirement is not met, as the essay falls significantly short of the minimum word count. While the writer expresses a clear position of agreement, the ideas presented remain limited and under-developed. For instance, the mention of people in Asia moving to Europe is introduced as an example but is not extended or supported with specific elaboration. Furthermore, the abrupt ending cuts off the final sentence prematurely, reflecting a lack of full task completion. To reach a higher band, the writer must ensure the essay meets the word count threshold and expands upon each supporting point with detailed explanations and fully developed examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay displays some organization with basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Furthermore', and 'Secondly', but there is no clear overall progression of ideas throughout the text. Paragraphing is attempted, but the final paragraph breaks off abruptly in the middle of a sentence due to the incomplete writing. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and cohesive devices are occasionally repetitive or mechanically applied, such as the repeated use of 'Furthermore' to introduce new points. To improve Coherence and Cohesion, the writer needs to ensure logical links between sentences are used more flexibly and accurately, maintain a smooth progression from introduction to conclusion, and ensure all paragraphs are fully formed and complete.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The lexical resource is limited but minimally adequate for the task. The writer uses basic vocabulary along with some attempts at less common phrases, such as 'critical social and practical problems' and 'financial crises'. However, there are noticeable word choice and collocation errors, such as 'social lonliness' (spelling and phrasing), 'to larger extent' (missing article), and awkward expressions like 'poor at speaking english'. These lexical inadequacies cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect a restricted control of word forms and spelling. To achieve a higher band, the student should broaden their vocabulary range, incorporate more precise academic collocations, and pay closer attention to accurate spelling and word formation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer demonstrates a limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside a few attempts at complex forms that are often faulty. There are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader. Examples include article omission ('moved to the europe', 'in English speaking country'), subject-verb agreement issues ('there a various problems', 'All these factors led'), and punctuation errors such as unnecessary spaces before commas. Additionally, structural control falters in longer sentences, leading to run-on constructions. To progress, the student must increase their command of complex grammatical structures, ensure correct article usage and agreement, and practice accurate punctuation.
