It has been seen that different languages have been spoken all across the world. People learn the language before moving abroad as it helps them to communicate effectively and maintain positive relations with locals. However; speaking a foreign language can affect the individual's stay as the mastery of a language can help them to get a good job.In contrast I don't agree wiith the statement that speaking a foreign language causes serious social and practical problems.

One of the main reason is speaking a foreign language can help individuals to get to know about their culture and society. It is not only helpful in getting some useful insights about the culture but also contribute in avoiding various social problems.Being mindfull about other culture makes the individual more practical and enable them to make better connections. For example, If a person knows a foreign language well, he will speak and understand the context properly while keeping the language politteness.

In addition to that, knowing a foreign language opens a wide range of opportunities for individuals. Although getting a permanent job in a foreign country is quiet challenging, the knowledge of a foreign language might open up wonderfull circumstances. For instance, If someone is good in the language, more preference would be given to that indiividual.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task and presents a clear position throughout, disagreeing with the given statement. Relevant ideas are presented, such as the benefits of understanding culture and the career opportunities brought by knowing a foreign language. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others. For instance, the argument regarding cultural insights and avoiding social problems is introduced adequately, but the reasoning remains slightly general and lacks deeper explanation. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to extend and support all main points more thoroughly with fully elaborated examples and more comprehensive reasoning rather than relying on brief assertions.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion, and the writing is divided into appropriate paragraphs. Logical progression is generally maintained throughout the response, as seen in the transition from discussing social integration to career advantages. However, cohesion is at times mechanical or somewhat faulty. For example, referencing is occasionally unclear, and some cohesive devices feel repetitive or abrupt, such as the punctuation slip and transition leading into the second paragraph. To improve further, the writer should ensure smoother transitions between sentences and paragraphs, making the logical relationships between ideas flow more naturally without relying on rigid formulas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The writer demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'insight', 'opportunities', and 'circumstances'. However, there are noticeable lexical errors in word choice, spelling, and word form that reflect limitations. For example, words like 'mindfull' contain spelling errors, and expressions such as 'wonderfull circumstances' or 'language politteness' exhibit unnatural collocation and awkward word choice. To achieve a higher level, the student must expand their range of less common vocabulary and refine their precision regarding word formation and spelling to ensure more natural expression.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The essay employs a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating attempts at subordination with clauses introduced by 'as', 'although', and 'if'. There are some errors in grammar and punctuation throughout the text, including punctuation placement issues like 'However;' and missing spaces after commas, as well as minor structural slips like 'One of the main reason is speaking'. Fortunately, these errors rarely impede communication and the meaning remains clear. To move up, the writer needs to increase the proportion of error-free complex sentences and exercise better control over punctuation and subject-verb agreement patterns.
