Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You state a position—“I will disagree”—and give relevant points about learning a language for study, living abroad and travelling. These examples show an attempt to address the topic, but the response does not explain how speaking a foreign language might create social or practical problems, which is central to the question. The opening also says the essay will “totally agree or disagree,” so your position is not clearly established there. The final sentence, “we should speak our language in our country,” introduces a different idea without explaining how it supports your argument. The response is also 85 words below the required minimum, leaving too little space to develop reasons and examples. State your degree of agreement clearly, then explain and support two relevant reasons.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response into an introduction, a main paragraph and a concluding sentence. Some links, such as “The main reason” and “When we go abroad,” help signal the direction of ideas. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow: the introduction promises to “totally agree or disagree,” the body shifts between school, study, travel and language use at home, and the final sentence does not clearly conclude the argument. Several ideas are joined together without clear relationships, and “for for” and repeated references to learning languages make the paragraph feel repetitive. Use separate paragraphs for distinct reasons, connect each example directly to the claim it supports, and finish by restating your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “foreign language,” “abroad,” “study,” “vacation” and “country,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is basic and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “language” and “learn.” Some choices are inaccurate or unclear, such as “all language are important for our furture” and “help theme,” which make parts of the message harder to understand. Spelling errors such as “furture,” “competly” and “sepak” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of expressions for the task, including terms for communication difficulties, social isolation and practical challenges. Check spelling and choose words that express the intended meaning rather than relying on repeated general vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, for example, “When we go abroad for study their language will be different for our country then we can learn their language.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but control of sentence structure is inconsistent, and errors often make the meaning unclear. Examples include missing or incorrect articles and verb forms in “living a country where you have speak foreign language cause,” and agreement errors in “all language are important.” The sentence “when we live in our country we should our own language” is also incomplete because it lacks a main verb after “should.” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles and complete sentence patterns first; then use conjunctions and punctuation to divide longer ideas clearly.
