Student answer (Band 5.0)
It has been argued that living in a country where you are a local and you have to speak a foreign language that can cause crucial social problems, along with practical problems.
This is a valid point and I am confident to say that i completly agree with this statement because the country where people lived their life as a local forced to speak foreign language the the individuals who cannot speak the other language are considered as uneducated but this is totally wrong. People have to unbderstand the education is not only linked with language.
For example English is an international language and it is widely spoken language in many countries but in some countries, Like Pakistan and India, People cannot speak English properly and they faced numerious issues while giving job interviews, communicate with people who can speak english and with their office members.
This is a serious problem for the country whose official language is not English. Everyone is feels guilty that he/she cannot speak foreign language. The big problems is that In those countries many institutes are offering language courses and almost everone is wasting money for the sack of learning a new language, the trainners are also a basic level language speaker and is training many of his students to be fluent in the language
Government should have to look on all these factors and educate their people to relay only on the national language of the country and should also pay attention on the language learning institutes who just scam people for some money

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you say you “completly agree,” and you address both social effects, such as people being judged as uneducated, and practical difficulties, including job interviews and workplace communication. These examples are relevant to the topic. However, the response only partially develops the argument. The discussion focuses mainly on English and language courses, while the practical and social consequences are asserted rather than explained in depth. The reference to Pakistan and India is broad and does not show how these problems affect people in a specific situation. The final recommendation about relying on the national language also needs a clearer link to the problems described. Develop fewer points with specific explanations or examples to make your response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, supporting paragraphs, and a concluding recommendation. The ideas are generally related to the topic, and phrases such as “For example” help signal an illustration. However, progression between points is not always clear. The second paragraph combines the claim about people being considered uneducated with a general statement about education, while the later paragraph shifts from guilt to language courses and possible scams without clearly connecting these ideas. Repeated use of “and” also makes some sentences difficult to follow. Organise each body paragraph around one main point, then explain and illustrate it; use clearer links between social problems, practical problems, and your conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “foreign language,” “job interviews,” “official language,” and “language courses,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning less clear. For example, “where you are a local” does not express the intended idea of living in a country whose language is unfamiliar, and “for the sack of learning” appears to mean “for the sake of learning.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “completly,” “numerious,” and “trainners.” Aim for more precise phrases and check spelling carefully. Replacing repeated general terms such as “problems” with specific descriptions would also make the argument clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional construction beginning “where people lived their life as a local” and a longer example about interviews and workplace communication. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the reader work to understand your meaning. Examples include “the country where people lived their life … forced to speak,” which lacks a clear grammatical structure, and “Everyone is feels guilty,” where the verb forms are incompatible. Agreement and sentence construction are also problematic in “The big problems is” and “the trainners are … and is training.” Use shorter, complete sentences while checking subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries; then build complexity more accurately.
