Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many people living in the foriegn countries have to face a lot of problems besides that they face serious problem of foriegn language which make their lives difficulty in interacting socially and practically. I partially, with the view because in intial stage it very difficult for the individual to understand new language and culture but over a period they can overcome the difficulty.
Firstly, people who visit to their relatives who lives in abroad particularly the elder and uneducated ones. They might face problems such as if they fell sick they are not able to explain the pain or the symtopms to the doctor because they dont know the language. However, if they visit to to the grocery shops they not able to interact socially. Which makes them feel discourage. Furthermore, this can create difficultly in securing the the job without adequate language skills it became stressfull. This lead to financial expliotation or even misdiagnoses in health care setting.
Secondly, living in the foriegn country will make person learn new language and experience the culture. In the begining, it will be not easy for an individual to learn new language but over period of time it can be overcome. However, with the rapid evolving of technology it will be easier to learn the new language. There are many institutes in country for learning, a individual can overcome those temporary difficulties. If an individual force oneself to adapt the new linguistic environment. It will open up the global career opportunities.
In conclusion, although navigating a foriegn language environment initially introduces clear social and practical harderships, but these challenges are temporary and highly manageble. With the help of modern technology and proactive mindset, experience often transforms from series of problems rewarding oppurtunities

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your response addresses both the problems and your view: you acknowledge serious initial difficulties, then argue that people can adapt over time. The examples of explaining symptoms to a doctor, shopping, and finding work are relevant and show practical and social effects. However, the position is described as “partially” agreeing without clearly specifying which parts of the statement you accept or how serious the problems are overall. Some ideas are also less developed than others: the point about technology and language institutes is asserted rather than illustrated, and the career-opportunity claim is not explained. Make your degree of agreement explicit and develop each main point with a specific example or explanation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument, and the movement from initial difficulties to eventual adaptation is understandable. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Which makes them feel discourage” is separated from the preceding idea, while “However” does not clearly show the relationship between learning a language and the difficulties described. The first body paragraph also moves quickly from healthcare to shopping and employment. Use clearer links between each example and its main point, and make sure each paragraph develops one central idea in a more orderly way.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “interacting socially,” “adequate language skills,” “misdiagnoses,” and “global career opportunities.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and there are attempts to use more formal expressions. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause, as in “foriegn,” “symtopms,” “expliotation,” and “harderships.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “visit to the grocery shops” and “financial expliotation.” Aim to check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for healthcare, employment and adaptation. More precise vocabulary would make the argument clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “If an individual force oneself to adapt…” and a contrast in the conclusion. However, sentence control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “people who visit to their relatives who lives in abroad,” where the subject and verb do not agree and the clause structure is faulty, and “This lead to financial…,” which needs a correctly formed verb. Articles, plurals and sentence boundaries also need attention; for instance, “a individual” and the fragment “Which makes them feel…” interrupt accuracy. Practise building complete sentences and checking agreement, verb forms and punctuation before adding more complex structures.
