Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is often argued by some people that living in a outsider country where speaking foriegn language can cause practical and social issues. Although some might disagree with this notion, I completely agree. Not only because of social isolation and problems with employment, but also because of diffuculty in everyday science.

There are multiple benefits associated with this approach. Firstly, sicial isolation can be can considered as the major problems of this concern. As if the people don't speak different language so they can't speak with one another so they try to escape from them. Take the example of Gemany, a report from School of Social Sciences was published which showded that 21% of people whos lived in foriegn countries face the social distraction, due to 3% one of them develop mental diseases. Thus, this key point strongly supports my agreement with this statement.

Secondly, apart from the social isolation, problems with employment can also be labelled as importent issue. As if a person can't speak the native language, how they deal with customers and how they give advantages to a organization. For example, in Russia a Mettz restaurant give a job to foriegner students whos were not expert in russian language, but because of low salary after that in a few month a reputation of this place was completely loss due to poor customer dealing. Hence, this argument further strenghten my agreement with this statement.

Finally, difficulties in everyday life also the major drawback. As if we have no knowledge about the native language of a country, face a problems in buying anything.

To sum up, I believe that due to problems of social isolation, difficulty in finding a job and also lot of daily life problems I completely agree with approach.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction (“I completely agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address social and practical consequences through social isolation, employment, and everyday activities, so the response is relevant to the question. The employment example and the reference to difficulty buying things help illustrate your points. However, these ideas are not developed equally: the everyday-life point is only briefly stated, and the examples rely on claims that are not explained or clearly connected to the main argument. Develop each point with a specific, plausible situation and explain its consequences. This would make the response more fully supported while retaining your clear position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for social and employment problems, a final point about daily life, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “Finally,” and “To sum up” make the progression easy to follow. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, with repeated patterns such as “As if” and repeated statements that each point supports your agreement. Some links between sentences are unclear, particularly in the social-isolation paragraph, where the cause-and-effect sequence is difficult to follow. Use a wider range of accurate linking expressions and make each paragraph progress from a clear topic sentence to explanation and example. The daily-life point also needs fuller development to balance the paragraphing.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “social isolation,” “employment,” “native language,” and “customer dealing,” and some choices communicate the intended ideas. However, the range is limited and several spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make parts of the response difficult to interpret. Examples include “foriegn,” “diffuculty,” “sicial,” and “strenghten,” as well as unnatural phrases such as “social distraction,” “everyday science,” and “a reputation … was completely loss.” These issues sometimes obscure your meaning, especially in the examples. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common word partnerships, such as “social exclusion,” “daily tasks,” and “damage a restaurant’s reputation,” rather than translating phrases directly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You try to use both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concessive opening (“Although some might disagree”) and conditional questions about employment. However, complex structures are often not controlled, and errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and verb forms recur. For example, “living in a outsider country” has an article and noun-form problem, while “a report … was published which showded” has an incorrect verb form and an unclear relative clause. The sentence beginning “Finally, difficulties in everyday life also the major drawback” is missing a main verb, and “a person … how they deal” shifts between singular and plural forms. Practise building complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, then check agreement and articles.
