Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this modren era, living in a country where everyone wants to speak international language and sometime can cause seroius social problems, as well as practical problems. I partailly agree with this arguments and I will explain in upcoming paragraphs along with suitable exmaples.

One of the primary reasons is that why foreign language cause several challenges because some people cannot understand their languages. To elaborate it, most individuals visit every year on tourist places, where they need to connect people and if they do not know about the foreign lanaguage, so they might be face difficulties. Moreover, international languages not only benefical for their business but also they can easily earn the education from several platforms. A pertinent illustration is that, some people start their busniess in few loctions, consequently, it they know international language they can spread their work internationally.

On the other hand, having a foregin language have numerous hamful effects because individuals have an international language they will cause living in a country where people have to speak a foreign language can cause many practical problems. People may find it difficult to communicate in important situations, such as visiting a doctor, finding a job or dealing with government offices. If they cannot explain their problems clearly, they may misunderstand important information. For instance, a person who has recently moved to another country may find it difficult to understand medical instructions or workplace rules. Therefore, a language barrier can make daily life more difficult and stressful.

To conclude, although some people cannot understand their languages, people can spred their business all over the world. I believe that having an an other languages benefical for them because they can understand other's perspective and easily understand other's point of view and communicate easily.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You state a position—“I partially agree”—and discuss both potential benefits and difficulties, including communication with doctors, employers, and government offices. These examples are relevant to the question. However, the argument is only partly developed: the first body paragraph shifts from language barriers for tourists to the benefits of international language for business and education, without clearly explaining how these points support your position on living in a foreign-language country. The conclusion also emphasises benefits, so your degree of agreement is not consistently clear. To strengthen the response, explain directly which problems you consider serious and balance them against the benefits with specific reasoning. The response meets the required length; eight words copied from the task prompt were not counted.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” help show intended relationships. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven. The first body paragraph moves between tourists, education and business, while the second begins with a confusing repeated version of the task before presenting its main point. Some linking phrases are used inaccurately or mechanically, such as “To elaborate it” and “consequently, it they know.” The conclusion repeats ideas rather than clearly synthesising the argument. Organise each paragraph around one central claim, connect each example explicitly to it, and use referencing and transitions more precisely.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “practical problems,” “communicate,” “government offices,” and “medical instructions,” and some phrases convey relevant ideas clearly. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form and collocation errors make parts difficult to follow: “modren,” “seroius,” “lanaguage,” “benefical,” and “spred” recur alongside awkward expressions such as “earn the education” and “tourist places.” Repetition of “international language” and “people” also limits precision. Build a more accurate set of phrases for language barriers and social integration, and check spelling and collocations carefully. For example, use “access education” rather than “earn the education,” and “tourist destinations” rather than “tourist places.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional example beginning “If they cannot explain their problems clearly” and a sentence using “although.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles and verb forms occur frequently enough to make some sentences hard to understand. For example, “One of the primary reasons is that why foreign language cause” combines incompatible structures, while “having a foregin language have” has a subject–verb agreement problem. The opening sentence also lacks a clear grammatical structure. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check agreement and articles, and avoid joining clauses with “so” when the sentence structure is already complete.
