Student answer (Band 6.0)
Moving to abroad without being fluent in local language can make it difficult to build relationship and manage everyday responsibilities. These problems can lead to a social isolation and issue at work. I belive that these challenges can be reduced if people take approiate steps to improve their communication skills.
To begin with, language barrier can create serious in everyday life. Socially, people may have to struggle to make firends, communicate with local resident and understand the local culture. As a result, they may feel isolated becuase they live without their family. In addition, limited language skills can cause practical diffulties in workplace, hospital and public servies. For example, foreign worker may misunderstand their manager instruction, while patients may find it difficult to task the doctor about the disease. Similaraly, they can not travel in tranportation services such as bus, train and taxi because of language barrier they may not purchase ticket. Therefore. these issues may lose their confidence and make daily activites more stressful.
However, there are several way to tackle this circumstances. Fistly, people can take physical classes to improve their grammer, vocabulary and speaking skills. These can also practice communications with local people, which can improve their naturalness and understand the traditional curtual. Secondly, they can learn from different websites such as doulingo, wikipedia and youtube, these websites have a significant number of knowledge about different language.
In conclusion, living in a country without speaking its language can cause serious social and practical obstacle. But i belive that these challenges can overcome with regular practice and interaction with local people

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you agree that limited ability in the local language creates social and practical difficulties, while arguing that these can be reduced through learning and interaction. You address both sides of the prompt with relevant examples, including difficulty making friends, misunderstandings at work or in hospital, and problems using transport. This gives the response a solid, relevant foundation. Some points, however, are asserted rather than fully explained: for instance, the connection between living without family and feeling isolated could be clarified, and the proposed learning methods could be linked more directly to overcoming the specific problems described. Developing these explanations and making the extent of your agreement more explicit would strengthen the response further.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph describing problems, a paragraph proposing solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “In addition,” and “However” help readers follow the main stages of the argument. The progression is generally logical, but some links between ideas are abrupt or unclear. For example, the transport example is difficult to follow because the sentence combines inability to travel with not being able to purchase a ticket. The conclusion also repeats the main position without drawing together the examples and solutions. Use clearer sentence boundaries and more precise referencing, and connect each example explicitly to the point it supports, to make cohesion more flexible and less mechanical.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “social isolation,” “practical difficulties,” “communication skills,” and “public services,” and you attempt to discuss several distinct situations. However, the range and control are limited by frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word choices, such as “approiate,” “diffulties,” “servies,” and “curtual.” Some combinations are also unnatural or unclear, including “task the doctor about the disease” and “a significant number of knowledge.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations as complete phrases, such as “ask a doctor about symptoms” and “a wealth of information.” More precise vocabulary would help you express your examples clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “These problems can lead to…” and a subordinate clause beginning “because.” The main ideas are usually understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. Examples include missing or incorrect articles in “a social isolation” and “language barrier,” singular/plural and agreement problems in “foreign worker may misunderstand their manager instruction,” and the incomplete construction “these challenges can overcome.” Punctuation also affects clarity, particularly the run-on sentence joining the websites and the claim about their information. Practise article use, plural forms, and complete verb patterns, then check that each sentence has a clear subject and verb. Greater accuracy across these structures would make your meaning easier to follow.
