Student answer (Band 4.5)
It is often argued that living in a country where I have to speak foreign language can cause serious as well as practical problems. I am strongly disagree owing to the fact is that currently, I am living in Pakistan while Urdu language is my mother language. In addition ,English is an international language so in my country , if medium of higher education in English then why Urdu is mother language.
For instance, currently, I am student of bachelors with English medium alternatively whenever I will apply for my masters course in any English country ,their will be mandatory IELTS high bands, in addition I will be problemtheir ,on the ground is that my mother language is Urdu then for English I have to face problem of language and then will be started preparation for ilets to securing admission in any university of English country.
As a direct result,In my opinion it is a major drawback in my country for students of higher education because ,In English country, require good English speaking and writing for meeting the criteria of any Targeted country in which individual wants to pursue study
Consequently it is evident that English also be the speaking language in Pakistan,so that is why students do not face any language issue

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You state a clear disagreement in the opening, but the response does not adequately answer the question about whether living in a foreign-language country causes social and practical problems. Most of the discussion shifts to studying in an English-speaking country, IELTS requirements, and English education in Pakistan; it does not explain social difficulties or give a developed account of practical problems encountered while living abroad. The example about your future master’s application is relevant only in a limited way, and the conclusion that English is also spoken in Pakistan does not support your position clearly. The response is also 37 words below the required minimum, leaving too little space to develop relevant reasons and examples. Address both types of problems directly and explain why you agree or disagree.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening position is followed by an example, a further comment, and a concluding statement. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the ideas do not build into a clear argument about life in a foreign-language country. Connectors such as “For instance,” “As a direct result,” and “Consequently” are used, but the cause-and-effect links they introduce are often unclear or inaccurate. The response is also presented as one continuous block, so the reader receives little help distinguishing the main point from its support. Use separate paragraphs for your position, each reason and example, and the conclusion; make sure each linking phrase expresses the relationship between the ideas accurately.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “mother language,” “higher education,” “mandatory,” and “criteria,” which shows an attempt to discuss language and study. However, the range is limited and several phrases are imprecise or unnatural, sometimes making the intended meaning harder to understand. For example, “English country” is unclear, “high bands” is vague in this context, and “major drawback in my country for students” does not clearly identify the drawback. There are also spelling and word-form problems, such as “ilets” and “targeted country.” Build a more precise vocabulary for social and practical challenges, such as communication barriers, access to services, and social isolation, and check common collocations before using them.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts some longer sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “owing to the fact” and a sentence introduced by “For instance,” but these structures are often incomplete or difficult to follow. Errors in articles, verb forms, agreement, and sentence construction occur throughout: “speak foreign language,” “I am strongly disagree,” and “then will be started preparation” are examples. Several sentences also join multiple ideas without clear grammatical boundaries, as in the opening and the final paragraph. These problems sometimes obscure the intended relationships between ideas. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using “because,” “although,” and “for example.” Review articles and verb forms, especially when describing present situations and future plans.
