Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You state a clear overall view—“I am completely with this statement”—and give examples involving Urdu speakers, migration, and lectures in the UK. These points are relevant to language-related difficulties. However, the response only partially develops the task: the first body paragraph focuses mainly on cultural and language differences, while the second shifts between students’ difficulty understanding lectures and the claim that people can learn to speak more easily. The distinction between social problems and practical problems is not clearly explained, and some examples are difficult to follow. To strengthen the response, explain specific consequences, such as isolation or difficulty accessing education and services, and connect each example directly to your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and “First of all” and “Secondly” signal an attempt to organise the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear: the first moves from language learning to national culture and then to a person living in your country, without making the links explicit. In the second, the discussion of students, lectures, failing an exam, and learning languages changes direction several times. Connectors such as “Because,” “Although,” and “Thus” are sometimes used in ways that do not show the intended relationship. Use one main idea per paragraph, develop it in a clear sequence, and make references such as “he” and “their” unambiguous.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “foreign country,” “national language,” “culture,” “lecture,” and “understand,” so the reader can identify the general topic. However, the range is limited and several expressions are repeated, particularly references to speaking another language and living in another country. Frequent spelling errors—such as “socal,” “pratical,” “dificult,” and “languale”—and imprecise phrases such as “understand their sound” can make meaning harder to follow. Build a more accurate set of phrases for social and practical consequences, and check spelling carefully. For example, “understand their sound” could be expressed as “understand the lecture,” which is more precise in this context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including clauses beginning with “when,” “because,” and “although.” However, many sentences contain errors in sentence formation, verb forms, agreement, and articles, which sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to understand. For example, “when we live in foreign country and speak their language” is an incomplete clause, and “we was born” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. “He does not understand their sound and finally failed in paper” also shifts tense and lacks clear grammatical relationships. Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check tense consistency and agreement. Accurate simple sentences should come before adding more complex clauses.
