Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, with the rapid development of society, speaking a foriegn language in foriegn country has become one of the most widely discussed issues around the world. Some people strongly believe that it can affect individual's social and work lifeHowever, I completely agree with this viewpoint. This essay will explain why I completely agree with this statement.
To begin with, one significant reason why I agree with this statement is that living in a foreign country requires person's ability to communicate effectively. However facing language barrier can result in misunderstandings. As a result resident will face difficulties to live in a foreign country.Another important reason is that there will be a cultural differences Consequently which leads foreigner to face consequences.for example, differences in moral values, mindset , food and religon will create impossible for a person to survive. In addition person will have limited social interactions due to language barrier and cultural differences which will have detrimental effect on both his practical and social life.Furthermore, another compelling reason supporting my opinion is that a person with a no proper language understanding he will face a difficulty in hunting job oppourtunities because a corporate world globally required language fluency. In addition this will limit the oppoutuinites and networking chance.for instaces conersation with colleagues at work place and for understanding the role and responsibilty or dealing with the clients a person must need good communication skill.
In conclusion, I firmly agree with this statement because of language barrier and cultural differences. Therefore, i will recommend that goverment's implement strict polices and introduce a language test which would be compulsary to pass before travelling to a foriegn countries.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: “I completely agree,” and the conclusion maintains this view. You address both social and practical consequences, including misunderstandings, limited social interaction, and difficulty finding work, so the response covers the main parts of the question. The examples about workplace communication and cultural differences are relevant. This meets the core requirements strongly, with some evidence of the fuller development expected at the next level. However, several claims are asserted rather than explained: for instance, saying differences in food and values make it “impossible” to survive is too absolute and is not supported. Develop each point with a specific situation and explain how it creates a serious problem.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a main paragraph presenting reasons, and a conclusion. Its ideas generally follow a sensible order, moving from communication and social difficulties to employment, and linking phrases such as “As a result,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” help show relationships. However, the main paragraph contains several distinct points without clear separation, so the progression can feel crowded. Some transitions are mechanical or incomplete, as in “Another important reason is that there will be a cultural differences Consequently,” and references such as “this” do not always identify a precise idea. Use separate body paragraphs for social and practical problems, and connect each example directly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “language barrier,” “detrimental effect,” “social interactions,” and “job opportunities.” These choices show an effort to discuss both social and practical consequences. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “create impossible for a person to survive,” “hunting job opportunities,” and “networking chance.” Spelling errors such as “foriegn,” “religon,” and “oppourtunities” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural combinations such as “make it difficult to adapt,” “seek employment,” and “build professional networks,” and proofread carefully for spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses beginning “why I agree” and “which leads,” and you use cause-and-effect structures to explain your position. However, complex sentences are often not controlled successfully, and errors in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles, and clause structure recur. For example, “living in a foreign country requires person's ability” needs an article, while “there will be a cultural differences” has an agreement and number problem. Several sentences run together without appropriate punctuation, particularly in the opening and the main paragraph, making relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then combine them accurately using subordinate clauses and correct punctuation.
