Student answer (Band 4.5)

In my prespective , I think living in a country where you have to speak a foreign language can cause serious social problems, as well as practical problems thats for it will be hard for you to deal with foreigners everyday and maybe you have difficulties to express your own ideas freely , you would be little restricted to express your own ideas or practice your habbits . sometimes you will face serious social problems like hadling with different cultures , ideas also religion or beliefs . That's why it is little bit challenging for you as well as you need to practic the language and face the challenges every day to break the language barier and has the accurate fleuency and the flow of ideas that will help you adapt there. It is probably that you need more flexibility to deal with these issues every single day. When you face this cultural barrier you need to be more acceptable to differences in the other country cultures and beliefs.

On the other hand , if you can adapt easily with others go and take the risk if you think you can handle the situation.

In the cotrary , I have difficulties to live with people who has rules that prevent the one to practice their own believes in public.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You take a position that living in a foreign-language environment can be challenging, and you mention relevant social and practical effects, including difficulty expressing ideas and adapting to different beliefs. However, the response only partly develops the task: practical problems are not illustrated with a specific example, and the social points remain general. The final sentence about rules restricting public beliefs introduces a potentially relevant concern but is not explained or connected clearly to your main argument. The response contains 197 words, so it is 53 words below the 250-word minimum; 22 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop each main reason with an explanation or example, and make your degree of agreement explicit throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: you begin with your view, use “On the other hand” to introduce a contrasting point, and add a final concern about public beliefs. However, the ideas are not arranged in a clear progression. The opening sentence combines your position, several consequences, and a conclusion, making the relationships between points difficult to follow. “On the other hand” does not lead to a fully developed opposing argument, while “In the cotrary” signals contrast without making the connection clear. Paragraphing is also limited, with most ideas crowded into one long paragraph. Separate the introduction, each main reason, and the conclusion, and use linking phrases only when their logical relationship is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “social problems,” “cultural barrier,” “flexibility,” and “adapt,” which helps communicate your general meaning. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “prespective,” “habbits,” “practic,” and “fleuency.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise, including “deal with foreigners everyday” and “break the language barier.” Aim to learn accurate topic-related phrases and check spelling carefully. For example, you could describe difficulty communicating with local people, adapting to cultural differences, or maintaining your usual customs, rather than relying on repeated references to “ideas” and “challenges.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to express connected and complex ideas, particularly in the long opening sentence and in the clause beginning “When you face this cultural barrier.” However, sentence structures are limited and errors are frequent, sometimes obscuring the intended meaning. The opening contains a run-on structure: “I think … problems thats for it will be hard,” with unclear clause connections and missing punctuation. There are also errors in agreement and sentence construction, as in “people who has rules” and “prevent the one to practice.” Articles and plural forms are inconsistent, and commas are often used where a full stop or conjunction is needed. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine ideas using accurate subordinate clauses and punctuation.
