Student answer (Band 5.5)
People from developing countries always desire to move to the other countries with difference languages require to execute a better career opportunity. Certain people argue that even having a better job, language barrier can be a significant obstracle for the survival of foreigners in an area where they can struggle to speak in their native language. In spite this fact, I tend to disagree with this statement, and in this essay I will elucidate some authentic reasons why I believe that living in a country where you have to communicate in a foreign language is not that much difficult now as much it used to be.
To begin with, in this modern era where advance technology has revolutionized every single field of our lives, it has also transformed our mode of communication, a substantial numbers of websites and mobile applications assist us to translate any langauge you want to speak. Whereas, it is effective for short talks; however, for long term stay in any foreign nation you have to learn their language properly, and these applications work efficiently. Means, you do not need to take extra language learning classes. Even if you have short period of time and you have to cultivate their certain level of speaking skills you can subscript such useful applications along with their genuine assistance with a personal tutor, who will guide you according to your level.
Additionally, when you work with native speaker you will definately learn quickly their language instead of learning it in your own place with similar language speaker in your surrounding. Once you learn their language it will not an issue neither socially nor practically. At least it should not be consider the main hurdle for talented people to pursue their dream profession.
In conclusion, the pervasiveness of the language learning and language translator applications make it convenient and effective for everyone to communicate in any language. It is not a social as well as practical issue anymore.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you disagree that living with a foreign language necessarily creates serious problems, and you give relevant reasons involving translation technology and learning through contact with native speakers. However, the response addresses the two kinds of problems unevenly. The practical side receives some explanation, but the social side is mostly dismissed in the claim that learning the language means it will be “not an issue neither socially nor practically.” This is asserted rather than supported with a specific example or explanation of how social difficulties are overcome. Develop both aspects of the prompt and qualify your position—for example, acknowledge initial isolation or difficulty accessing services before explaining why these problems can be reduced.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present reasons, and a conclusion restates the position. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Additionally,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main stages. However, the progression within the first body paragraph is not always clear: translation applications are first presented as useful for short talks, then the discussion shifts to learning the language and tutoring without clearly distinguishing these points. Some linking is also mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “whereas” and “however.” Organise each paragraph around one main idea, use clearer transitions between supporting points, and make references such as “these applications” unambiguous.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “language barrier,” “revolutionized,” “substantial,” and “pervasiveness,” and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, several inaccurate word choices and collocations make parts of the response awkward or unclear, such as “with difference languages,” “execute a better career opportunity,” and “subscript such useful applications.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “obstracle,” “langauge,” and “definately.” These issues limit the precision and naturalness of your vocabulary, even when the intended idea can be inferred. Prioritise accurate, natural phrases over ambitious wording, and proofread spelling; for example, use “pursue better career opportunities” and “subscribe to an app.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “where” and “when,” and you use some subordination to connect ideas. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make the reader pause. Examples include “People from developing countries always desire to move,” where the verb pattern is unnatural, “a substantial numbers of websites,” with disagreement, and “Once you learn their language it will not an issue,” which is missing a verb. The sentence beginning “Whereas, it is effective for short talks” is also incomplete and is followed by a confusing “however” construction. Practise complete sentence structures, subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb forms, then check each sentence for a clear main clause.
