Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a broadly relevant response by arguing that language difficulties can be reduced through English, language learning and translation technology. The examples of students communicating abroad and people using translation apps relate to practical communication. However, the position is not consistently clear: the opening says “So diagree with the statement it create problems,” while the conclusion suggests people do not have to face these problems, without clearly stating how far you agree that serious social and practical problems can occur. The social-problem aspect is barely addressed, and several claims—such as “all educated people” understanding English—are general rather than supported. State your degree of agreement directly, then develop separate reasons about practical and social effects with specific examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable paragraph structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. You also attempt to guide the reader with phrases such as “The main reason” and “On the others hand.” However, the overall progression is difficult to follow because the central argument shifts between language being necessary, people enjoying language learning, and technology solving communication problems. Some linking expressions are inaccurate or do not show a clear relationship, and ideas within sentences are often crowded together. For example, the point about students studying abroad moves quickly from English as an international language to speaking with friends and using English as a “source.” Organise each paragraph around one clear point and connect its explanation and example explicitly.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “communicate,” “international language,” “translation” and “consequences,” and you try to express ideas about studying and working abroad. However, the range is limited and many spelling, word-form and collocation errors make meaning less clear, as in “speck,” “comfordabley,” “conveneans” and “proud full.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “very big fan of learning new languages” and “source conveneans.” These issues fit a response where vocabulary is only minimally adequate and errors can cause difficulty for the reader. Build a reliable set of topic phrases and check spelling and collocations; for example, use “use English to communicate” rather than “chate with friend with in english.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses beginning with “because” and “if,” but control is weak and errors occur throughout. Examples include “everyone know,” “it’s help,” “people can survives” and “if anyone go abroad,” where agreement or verb forms are incorrect. Articles and sentence boundaries are also problematic: “living in country” needs an article, while the opening contains fragments and run-on punctuation. These frequent errors sometimes make relationships between ideas hard to understand, particularly in the long sentence about studying abroad. Practise accurate simple sentence patterns first, then add one subordinate clause at a time, checking subject–verb agreement, articles and punctuation.
