Student answer (Band 6.0)
There's a growing concern for the people speaking the country's native language, which in turn can lead to serious social and practical problems. I largely agree that speaking a foreign language can lead to isolation and loneliness. Beyond that, it can create financial and employment hurdles.
To begin with, communication is key to socializing. However, inability to communicate with peers and the community can result into quarantine from the community. A clear example of this is a foreign student having major problems socializing with their colleagues in a classroom, which eventually leads to discrimination against them from the other students.
Subsequently, navigating through the employment market is difficult without a strong command of the local language; this will increase the risk of missing job opportunities. Furthermore, this can result in a financial burden on individuals. Therefore, finding a job or negotiating a fair wage is much harder without fluency in the local language. This is particularly evident for international students , who are in need for part time job , finds it diificult to get the desired job in the market due to language barrier, additionally it will be diificult for daily expenses and paying off the debt , Therefore this will turn to financial burden on them and their families.
Therefore, I would argue that speaking a foreign language can cause real serious problems as well as practical hurdles. It is widely acknowledged by growing concerns about the mental well-being and economic stability of the individual living in a country

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you largely agree that living where a foreign language is needed can create social and practical difficulties. You address both areas, using social isolation and discrimination as one line of reasoning, then employment and financial pressure as another. The examples involving a foreign student and international students are relevant. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained: for instance, the link between difficulty communicating and discrimination needs a clearer explanation, and the final reference to mental well-being and economic stability is not developed. To strengthen the response, explain the causes and consequences of each example more fully and make the conclusion a complete, precise summary of your argument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs on social and practical problems, and a concluding statement. Signposts such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “Therefore” help readers follow the main direction, and the ideas progress from communication difficulties to employment and finances. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some flexibility in linking ideas. However, several transitions feel mechanical, and the long sentence beginning “This is particularly evident for international students” contains several points joined together, making their relationships harder to follow. The conclusion also ends abruptly. Use clearer sentence boundaries, vary linking methods, and ensure the final paragraph completes the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “isolation,” “discrimination,” “employment market,” “financial burden,” and “fluency.” These choices communicate the main ideas and show attempts to use less common language. However, noticeable word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems limit precision: “quarantine from the community” is not a natural way to describe social exclusion, “result into” is an inaccurate phrase, and “diificult” is misspelled twice. “Growing concern for the people speaking the country's native language” also does not clearly express your intended point. Aim for natural collocations and check spelling carefully; precise, familiar wording is more effective than an ambitious phrase used inaccurately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including a conditional-style explanation with “without a strong command of the local language” and a relative clause in “students, who are in need…”. Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For example, “can result into quarantine” has an incorrect preposition and construction, while “students … finds it difficult” has a subject–verb agreement error. The sentence beginning “This is particularly evident” also has inconsistent sentence structure and punctuation, and the final sentence is incomplete. Review agreement, clause construction, and sentence boundaries, then proofread long sentences to ensure each has a clear grammatical structure.
