Student answer (Band 4.5)
Learn different languages is good for our knowledge. because its work on our thick and thin. there are consider debate that living in a country whwre have to speak a foreign language can cause serious social and practical problem or not. lets discuss about it.
on the one hand, if we want to study or living in abroad we have to learn langauages about the country which we chosse to go. if we learn about the language in future we get good conversation to others. we can tell them easily about what we need or not.
on the hand, living in a foreign country where we have to speak a international language . we can not communicate with others. and not take help for other person in this case we face social problems on th flip side we didn't work, and can't take grocery even people not fullfil their basic need and face the practical problem.
My opinion is that if we want to shift any country we shoul learn in detail about the country and then we will shift the other country. so, we get easily help and work moreover student get greener pestures.
different people have different notion regarding the situation yet, i have sound reasons to advocate that , we know about multi languages for ou general knowledge.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You address the topic and give a position, especially when you say that people should learn about a country before moving there. You also mention both social difficulties, such as being unable to communicate or ask for help, and practical difficulties, such as being unable to work or obtain groceries. However, the response only minimally develops these points: it gives no specific example or explanation of how serious the problems are, and the extent of your agreement is not clearly stated. The conclusion shifts towards the general value of learning languages rather than directly answering the question. The response is 211 words, below the 250-word minimum; the 10 words copied from the task prompt are excluded from the count. Develop your position and support it with relevant examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic overall shape, with an introduction, two body sections signalled by “on the one hand” and “on the hand,” and a concluding paragraph. This gives the reader some sense of how the discussion is organised. However, progression within the paragraphs is difficult to follow: several ideas are joined together without clear explanation, and the contrast between the two sides is not fully established. Connectors such as “on the flip side” and “moreover” do not always show a clear relationship between the points they introduce. The final paragraph also repeats the general idea of learning languages rather than drawing the argument together. Use clearer topic sentences and link each supporting point explicitly to your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “communicate,” “social problems,” “practical problem,” and “basic need.” These choices help convey the main subject, but the range is basic and several phrases are inaccurate or unclear, which sometimes strains understanding. For example, “work on our thick and thin” does not express a clear idea, while “get greener pestures” appears to be an unsuitable phrase in this context. There are also frequent spelling errors, such as “langauages,” “whwre,” and “fullfil.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions for language barriers, daily tasks, and social integration would help you explain the topic more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a conditional idea in “if we want to study or living in abroad.” However, the range of structures is very limited, and frequent errors in sentence formation and verb patterns make parts of the response difficult to understand. For example, “Learn different languages is good” needs a grammatical subject form, and “we can not communicate with others. and not take help” is an incomplete sentence. There are also problems with agreement and articles, as in “practical problem” and “a international language,” as well as inconsistent capitalisation and punctuation. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then combine related ideas using accurate clauses.
