Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the modern world, several developing countries people prefer to speak native language rather than their own international language to conversate with others. However, it is argued by some people that living in a state where you have to speak a foreign language can lead to a serious social issues, as well as practical problems. I firmly agree with this opinion that people faced so many problem when they have to speak other language while living in a country.
First of all, a major problem faced by the inhabitants is lack of confidence which leads to many other issues. A sgnificant number of individuals who are not able to speak foreign launguage feel hasitattion and they cannot share their problem and issues with others. For instance, people living in a country are not familiar with other languages and they cannot share their problem with others because they are not able to speak other language. Consequently, they become less close to each other and after some time they loneliness.
Second of all, sevreal people work under a roof and connect to others who have different backgrounds and qualifications. A large number of employees are over aged and not well educated, they cannot speak other languages because in this part of their lives they are unable to learn about foreign languages. With the passage of time experienced employees give resign to their jobs beacuse they cannot speak and understand other languages. As a result, country losses their old experienced workers which cause futher financial issues such as unemployment, poverty and illiteracy.
To wrap up, foreign languages are crucial for the development of a country because it enhance the culture and traditional aspects. In my point of view, the problems are more than its benefits because it is difficult for the poeple to speak foreign language and can cause various social issues.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you firmly agree that speaking a foreign language can create serious problems, and you discuss both social effects, such as reduced confidence and loneliness, and practical effects, such as employees leaving work. These points are relevant, but the response addresses the task only partially because the ideas are often asserted rather than explained. For example, the claim that experienced workers resign is not supported with a specific situation or a clear explanation of how language barriers lead to unemployment, poverty, and illiteracy. The conclusion also introduces the benefits of foreign languages without resolving how these relate to your agreement. Develop each main point with a more precise example and explain its consequences.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “Second of all,” and “To wrap up” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and the linking can feel mechanical. In the first body paragraph, the example largely repeats the claim about being unable to communicate, while the final sentence, “after some time they loneliness,” does not clearly connect the cause to its result. The second paragraph also moves quickly from workplace communication to resignation and then to broad national problems. Build clearer links between each claim, example, and consequence, and use pronouns and transitions that make relationships between ideas explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “lack of confidence,” “different backgrounds,” “experienced employees,” and “financial issues.” This gives you enough language to communicate the general subject, but the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make parts difficult to read. Examples include “conversate,” “hasitattion,” “give resign,” and “country losses their old experienced workers.” Some phrases are also vague or repetitive, such as “problem and issues” and repeated references to speaking “other languages.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations and more precise terms—for example, describe workers as “resigning” and explain that language barriers may restrict “workplace communication” or “access to services.” Proofreading spelling would also improve clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “employees … who have different backgrounds” and a result clause beginning “which cause.” However, the range is limited, and complex constructions are often faulty; errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “people … feel hasitattion and they cannot share” lacks a clear grammatical construction, while “after some time they loneliness” is missing a verb. There are also problems with agreement and articles, as in “it enhance” and “a serious social issues.” Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check verb forms, singular/plural agreement, and sentence boundaries during revision.
