Student answer (Band 5.5)

Living in foriegn country where you have to speake other language may creats a lots of isuue. I strongly agree with this view because it may cause difficulties in speaking and as well as in communication.

Firstly, language barriers can makes alots of scoial problems. For example making a friends would be tough one because you will be unable to share an idea or your's opinion easly with someone ehich can be a huge hardle for you. Another is communication you can't communicate easly with every one whenever you want. Felling lonilness is another issue you can face it. Recently my close friend vist to abroad he advice me that don't visit anywhere if you can't communicate with some one in their lnguage it will crate hardship in your journey. First learn their language it will create easy access to every things whatever you want easily.

Secondly, it will aslo create some phsical issue like finding a job and and understanding the instruction in empolyment. For example if you get job by any chance there you will face several issues like you will not fully understande anything during you work or job. If you unable to speak foriegn language you will not express your issue infront of docotor and it will cause some negative effect on your body as well. another thing is you understand the law where you want to lives like a traffic rules when you brake the rule the govrnment will funish you for act which you have done.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that living where another language is spoken can create difficulties. You address both social problems, such as difficulty making friends and loneliness, and practical problems involving work, medical communication, and understanding laws. The personal example about your friend also supports your view. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained: for instance, the link between language difficulty and “negative effect on your body” is unclear, and the employment example could explain more specifically how misunderstanding instructions affects someone. Develop each main point with a clearer cause-and-effect explanation or a more precise example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted by “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress from social to practical difficulties, so the reader can follow the overall argument. However, connections within paragraphs are sometimes mechanical or unclear. In the first body paragraph, friendship, communication, loneliness, and the travel anecdote are placed together without consistently showing how one point leads to the next. The second paragraph also shifts quickly from work to medical care and traffic laws. Use clearer topic sentences and group related examples, then add linking phrases that explain relationships rather than simply listing another issue.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You communicate the main topic using relevant vocabulary such as “language barriers,” “social problems,” “communication,” “employment,” and “traffic rules.” There are also attempts to express specific effects, including “loneliness” and difficulty understanding instructions. However, the range is basic and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear, for example “foriegn,” “scoial,” “hardle,” and “funish.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “physical issue” for practical difficulties and “create easy access to every things.” Build a more accurate range of collocations and check spelling carefully; this will help you express the relevant ideas more precisely and naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including examples introduced with “because” and “if,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, errors in sentence structure, agreement, verb forms, articles, and punctuation occur across the response. For example, “language barriers can makes” has incorrect verb agreement, while “Felling lonilness is another issue you can face it” combines clauses awkwardly. The opening sentence also lacks a clear article and has an incorrect verb form. Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add a subordinate clause where useful. Check subject–verb agreement and avoid joining complete ideas with commas.
