Student answer (Band 6.0)
If you are not able to speak a national language of a foreign country, it could create several problems including social such as facing difficulty to connect with people and as well as practically getting a job opportunity. I agree to a large extent that langauge specially in foreign countries could create an obstacle if not spoken well.
Language is mean to communicate with someone effectively. If someone has moved to a specific nation for better career opportunities or higher studies, one need to communicate in an at initial level in order to make friends, understand people and the culture. If an individual has moved to italy, and is unable to have conversation in a italian with local people it will be difficult for him to even understand basic italian government rules and regulations.
Most of the companies in italy require, that an individual must possess B1 level of fluency in italian in order to be eligible for a job position, in this case a person who is not fluent will have to face the negative consequences of not knowing the language. White coller jobs also requires an intitial level of understanding of the knowledge to communicate with customers. Language can be a barrier to find a better career opportunity and to earn the living.
To sum up all, language is a barrier that need to be removed even before moving to a new country. People who are not aware of the language not only find it difficult to make friends at a new place but also lose opportunities such as jobs, studies and better career opportunities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree to a large extent that limited ability in the local language creates both social and practical difficulties. You address both sides of the prompt, explaining that communication affects making friends and understanding local rules, while also giving employment as a practical example. The Italy example and the reference to B1 language requirements make the discussion relevant. However, the social point is less developed than the employment point, and some claims—such as the general requirement for B1 fluency at Italian companies—would be stronger with qualification or explanation. To develop the response further, explain more specifically how language barriers can lead to isolation or difficulty accessing services, and support each main idea with a clear example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs discuss communication and employment, and a conclusion restates the main point. This makes the argument easy to follow. You also use basic linking expressions such as “If,” “in this case,” and “To sum up.” However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, the opening sentence combines social and practical problems in a crowded construction, and “Language is mean to communicate” does not clearly lead into the next point. The conclusion repeats ideas from the body rather than drawing them together. Use clearer topic sentences and make the relationship between each example and its main claim explicit; vary transitions while keeping them precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “career opportunities,” “fluency,” “government rules and regulations,” and “barrier,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “B1 level of fluency.” However, spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “langauge,” “italian,” “White coller,” and “intitial” should be corrected, while “make the living” is an unnatural expression. Some wording is repetitive, particularly “opportunities” and “language is a barrier.” Build a more accurate range of collocations and topic vocabulary, and proofread spelling and capitalization. More precise alternatives will help express the social and practical consequences without relying on repeated general terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional clauses such as “If someone has moved…” and a relative clause in “People who are not aware of the language…”. The overall meaning is usually clear, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “one need to communicate” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “an at initial level” contains an article and structure error. In “Most of the companies in italy require, that an individual must possess…,” the comma is unnecessary and the clause is awkwardly formed. There are also errors with articles and plurals in “a italian” and “jobs, studies and better career opportunities.” Review agreement, articles, and clause construction, then check punctuation around subordinate clauses.
