Student answer (Band 4.5)
Living in a country where someone have to speak a foreign language can cause serious social problems, as well as practical problems.
because its hard to speak a foreign language in start because
In today’s rapidly evolving world, the issue of speaking another language has become a matter of considerable public interest, prompting widespread debate regarding its impact on individuals and society. While some people firmly believe that to foreign language is important to learn others argue that we must know about international language but some countries did not prefer to speak international language they want their own language. istrongly agree to prefrence of national language but also believe that to make some margin for other language as it is evident that national and international make this approach considerably beneficial.
if we are talking about social problem and consider language berrier so its hard to communicate with someone and making friends also meet to hard in social events.
practical problems may include to communicate with doctors and finding job also working some where.
To conclude, I firmly maintain that to consider national language also give some space for that person who cannot spoke basic and gave some time to learn it and speak it.
Consequently, embracing this perspective would not only benefit individuals but also contribute to the long-term development and overall well-being of society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You address the topic by mentioning both social difficulties, such as making friends and attending social events, and practical ones, including communicating with doctors and finding work. You also state a position, saying you “strongly agree” that language barriers cause problems. However, the response does not fully develop this position: the later suggestion to give newcomers time and “some space” is not clearly connected to how serious the problems are or how much you agree. The response is 209 words, below the required 250; 16 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. This limits the opportunity to explain your reasons and provide a relevant example. Develop each main point with a specific explanation or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response, with an opening, discussion of social and practical problems, and a conclusion. The ideas about communication, friendship, doctors and employment are relevant and give the reader a general sense of your argument. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the opening repeats the prompt and the next paragraph shifts to a broad discussion of national and international languages without clearly linking it to the question. The conclusion introduces a new idea rather than summarising the reasons. Several sentences are fragments or run together, and paragraphing does not consistently separate the main points. Use a clear sequence—position, social effects, practical effects, conclusion—and connect each point explicitly.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “social problem,” “language barrier,” “communicate,” and “international language,” so the reader can identify the subject of your response. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “considerable public interest” and “long-term development.” However, vocabulary is often basic or used inaccurately, and errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to understand. For example, “making friends also meet to hard” and “give some space for that person” are unclear or unnatural expressions. Spelling and word-form problems, including “prefrence” and “berrier,” also reduce clarity. Build a reliable range of collocations for social integration and practical challenges, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a concluding structure beginning “Consequently,” and a sentence starting “While some people firmly believe…”. This shows an effort to vary sentence forms. However, control is weak: errors are frequent and sometimes obscure meaning. Examples include “someone have to speak,” “to foreign language is important,” and “a person who cannot spoke,” where agreement, articles, and verb forms are not controlled. The opening also contains an incomplete sentence beginning “because its hard,” while several ideas are joined without clear punctuation. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using one clear subordinate clause at a time. Check subject–verb agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries during revision.
