Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often argued that spending life in a country where a person forced to speak a foreign language may careate certain serious social and other practical issues. I firmly agree with this view because language barriers made difficult for individuals to survive and manage their daily tasks.
firstly, new languages often difficult in speaking and understaning. If a person starts his career in a new region where he need to speak a different language, he would face several challenges related to his daily life targets. people face different challanges in a new region to manage their responsibilities as well as it can cause problems in serving meals. For instance, studends who migrate in a foreign country for their studies often came back towards their own country, due to the language barriers. Moreover without complete understandig of a new culture and the language cause health related issues in individuals, and it reduces the ability of people to mangage their tasks themselves. Therefor, it is necessary to learn a foreign language before moving in a particular country.
Secondly, foreign languages made cultural and social differmces for visitors. There are certain words that have same in pronounciation in both the regions, but they have different meanig in other language. This differntiation can cause serious problems for visitors to survive in that place, and it also create other practical problems. for example, in pakistan where native language is urdu variety of words exists that have same prnouciation also in South Korea but they have meaning. Consequently, these differences are the main reason of socual as well as practical problems.
In conclusion, although some foreign languages are common worldwide, these also make difficulties for visitors to survive and mangae their daily tasks.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear in the introduction (“I firmly agree”), and you give two relevant areas of concern: managing everyday tasks and experiencing social or cultural misunderstandings. However, the response only partially develops the task. The first paragraph mentions students returning home and possible health problems, but it does not explain these outcomes in enough detail or show clearly how they arise from language difficulties. The Pakistan–South Korea example is also difficult to interpret and does not demonstrate a specific social or practical problem. To strengthen the response, explain each main point with a clear cause-and-effect link and a precise, relevant example, while maintaining your stated degree of agreement throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs introduced by “firstly” and “secondly,” and a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic route through your ideas. However, progression within the paragraphs is uneven, and several points are placed together without clear links—for example, daily responsibilities, serving meals, students returning home, and health issues appear in quick succession. Some linking expressions are repetitive or awkward, such as “Moreover” and “Consequently,” and the final example does not clearly connect to the claim it is meant to support. Organise each body paragraph around one main idea, then explain it and give a directly relevant example. Clearer referencing and more natural transitions would improve the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “language barriers,” “cultural and social differences,” and “daily tasks.” These phrases show an effort to discuss both practical and social effects. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices, collocations, and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “serving meals” where the intended practical difficulty is unclear, “words that have same in pronounciation,” and repeated use of “problems” and “difficulties.” Errors such as “understaning,” “challanges,” and “differmces” also reduce clarity. Build a more precise set of topic vocabulary and check spelling; choose expressions that describe specific situations rather than relying on broad terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use some longer sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If a person starts his career… he would face several challenges” and a contrast introduced by “although” in the conclusion. However, the range remains limited, and attempts at complex sentences are often faulty. For example, “language barriers made difficult” is missing a grammatical structure, while “new languages often difficult” lacks a verb. There are also recurring problems with subject–verb agreement and verb forms, as in “these differences… create” and “students… often came back.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning harder to follow. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then extend them with clauses, checking that each sentence has a complete verb and that subjects and verbs agree.
