Student answer (Band 5.5)
Language barriers are the primary source of living in the foreign country. Individuals who learn their foreign language has the prior benefit in their every key role that they implement in the society. While, some individuals who doesn't speak well their foreign language can cause social problems such as communication gap and social alienation, whereas in practical terms they lack the opportunities of jobs. I partly agree with this statement because these problems can be tackle through several measures by the time.
Numerous people who adopt an another language and living in a country where they cannot communicate with their native language may face several issues and judgment from native people. Most basic issue thay face is communication gap. They didn't communicate to their neighbours, collegues, co-workers which can cause the social alienation. They feels separated from the society and keep themselves isolated. For example, a student who doesn't speak language properly didn't take part in the group activity or class groups. Furthermore, they are facing mental illness and depression. In the practical terms, when they apply for a job or working in a company where they can work hard but with lack of communication skills they didn't make themselves to the upper rank.
Moreover, these are tamed problems, and can be measure by the period of time. People can learn about their language and try to communicate with every single person. For example, they take initiative towards the awareness of their words and how they pronounce them. Speaking is the process which is improve by the communication. The more you communicate with others, the more you adopt their skills to speak in the foreign language. Consequently, they learn and take a crucial role in taking part in society as well as in their practical terms.
In conclusion, living in other country and speak to that foreign language can cause mental issues, communication gaps and practical problems. However, these issues can be resolved by the time through work on their speaking skills. I believe that, these problems can be tamed.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is identifiable: you partly agree that living with a foreign-language barrier can create social and practical difficulties, while arguing that these can be overcome. You address both types of problem, with relevant examples such as a student being excluded from group activities and limited promotion prospects at work. However, the response develops the problems more fully than the proposed solutions. The advice to communicate more and practise pronunciation is relevant, but it needs clearer explanation of how people can access language learning or build confidence. The claim that difficulties are “tamed” over time is also broad and not fully supported. Develop each main point with a specific explanation or example, and make your degree of agreement more precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on social and work-related problems, a paragraph on ways to address them, and a conclusion. This makes the main line of argument easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion.” At times, however, connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “While” at the start of the introduction does not form a complete contrast, and “Consequently” introduces a result without fully showing how the preceding practice leads to social participation. Some ideas are repeated in the conclusion rather than brought together. Use clearer topic sentences and make each linking phrase express the precise relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “communication gap,” “social alienation,” “isolated,” and “depression,” and the reader can generally understand your meaning. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “take a crucial role.” However, noticeable word-choice, collocation, word-form, and spelling errors sometimes make the message awkward or unclear. “Primary source of living in the foreign country” does not express your intended meaning, while “tamed problems” is not a natural way to describe difficulties that can be overcome. Errors such as “collegues” and “thay” also reduce accuracy. Build a more reliable range of natural collocations and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including contrast and cause-and-effect structures, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, some errors in sentence construction, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation remain. For example, “Individuals who learn their foreign language has” has an unclear clause structure, and “some individuals who doesn't speak” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. In “these problems can be tackle,” the verb form after “can” is incorrect; “they feels separated” also shows agreement difficulty. The opening “While” clause is not completed as a contrast. Practise forming accurate subordinate clauses and checking agreement and verb forms, while retaining your attempts at varied sentence structures.
