Student answer (Band 5.5)

Being a non native speaker in a different country can cause social problems. I agree with the view beacause lack of communicaion and job insecurities might be the major concern rather than any other practical problems.

Speaking in a foreign language may effect the communicaiton between neibourhood because Non native speakers often failed to express their feelings properly due to lack of proper collecation and suitable vocabulary. For instance, we often see foreign influencers visit bangladesh for travelling, they can't deal with a ricksha-puller for fare, also they can't share their ideas and feellings with the local community even if they need help because they don't have proper language skills to communicate. Consequently, they may feel social isolation for a certain time of their travelling.

People often live in another country for earning. For example, around 40 lac people from bangladesh live in saudi arabia for their financial stablization. Without having a good comand on a foreign language it's difficult to manage a job. even people can manage a job they may fails to deliver the right service at their work. As a reslut they lost the job and they often suffer financial disabilities.

To sum, speaking in a foreign language could cause social isolation and more often financial disabilities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you agree that living where a foreign language is spoken can create difficulties, and you discuss both social isolation and employment-related problems. The examples about visitors in Bangladesh and Bangladeshi workers in Saudi Arabia are relevant, but the first is mainly about short-term travel rather than living in another country, and both examples need more explanation to show how the problems become serious. The response therefore addresses the task only partially, with ideas that remain limited and under-developed. It is also 41 words below the required minimum, which leaves little space to explain your reasons fully. Develop each main point with a clearer cause-and-effect explanation and a more directly relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present separate reasons, and a concluding sentence restates the main idea. This makes the overall arrangement coherent. You also use basic links such as “For instance,” “Consequently,” and “For example” to connect claims with illustrations. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes abrupt: the shift from communication difficulties to foreign influencers travelling in Bangladesh is not fully explained, and the employment paragraph moves quickly from finding work to losing a job. Some linking phrases feel mechanical, while the conclusion adds no further synthesis. Make the relationship between each claim and example explicit, and use referencing and transitions to guide the reader through the reasoning.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “social isolation,” “foreign language,” “financial stabilization,” and “deliver the right service.” These choices show an attempt to discuss both social and practical consequences. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear or natural, such as “communicaion,” “collecat ion,” “comand,” and “financial disabilities.” Some phrases are also imprecise: “manage a job” and “for their financial stablization” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Build a more accurate range of collocations for communication and employment, and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the consequences without relying on repeated general terms such as “problems” and “difficult.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause in “because lack of communication and job insecurities might be the major concern” and a conditional structure beginning “even people can manage a job.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but errors occur frequently and sometimes make the relationships between ideas difficult to follow. For example, “foreign influencers visit Bangladesh … they can’t deal” shifts awkwardly between general and specific reference, while “even people can manage a job they may fails” has faulty clause structure and subject–verb agreement. There are also problems with articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries. Practise building accurate conditional sentences and checking agreement, tense, and punctuation before adding more complex structures.
