Student answer (Band 6.5)
Many individuals that move to a foreign country are required to speak the local language that can cause serious social problems and pratical problems. I strongly agree with this view because these individuals often feel excluded and find it difficult to get a job.
On the one side, some people find it difficult to easily mix in with the local people. This is because they find it difficult to share their thoughts and emotions when speaking in the foreign language. As a result, they feel isolated and lonely as they are unable to build close relationships with the locals. For example, in office events these individuals usually remain silent because they find it difficult to convey their thoughts. Therefore, these people feel lonely and that can lead to mental health problems like depression and social anxiety.
On the other hand, the communication gap also leads to many practical problems. The foreign people may struggle to find a job because of the communication barrier. Most of the jobs involved direct communication with the client and customers. Even if they are qualifed for the role, they do not get the job. Since they struggle to speak fluently in the local language. This forces them to pick up odd jobs that is completely different from their education qualification.
In conclusion, I strongly believe many people struggle to communicate in the foreign language when they move overseas. This can cause social problems like feeling isolated and pratical problems like getting a job related to their education qualification.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear from the introduction—“I strongly agree”—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address both types of problems in the prompt: social isolation and practical difficulty finding suitable work. The examples of staying silent at office events and being unable to obtain a job despite having the qualifications make the discussion relevant and help extend your main points. However, some claims are broad, such as saying that most jobs involve direct communication, and the employment point would be stronger with a specific example or explanation of how language requirements affect particular roles. The social consequences are also more fully explained than the practical ones. Developing that second point with more precise support would make the response more complete and convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs addressing different consequences, and a conclusion that restates your position. The progression from communication difficulty to isolation, and then to employment barriers, is easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “As a result,” “Therefore,” and “On the other hand.” At times, however, these transitions feel somewhat mechanical, and some ideas are repeated—for example, difficulty communicating and feeling lonely recur in the first body paragraph and conclusion. The sentence beginning “Since they struggle to speak fluently…” is also left as a fragment, interrupting the flow between the employment point and its consequence. More varied links and tighter connections between sentences would improve cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary to explain the topic, including “communication barrier,” “isolated,” “convey their thoughts,” and “mental health problems.” These choices make your meaning clear, and you attempt some topic-specific language. However, several phrases are repetitive or imprecise, particularly repeated uses of “find it difficult” and “foreign language.” Some collocations and word forms are inaccurate, such as “education qualification” and “jobs that is completely different”; spelling errors include “pratical” and “qualifed.” These do not prevent understanding, but they limit the precision and control of your vocabulary. Aim to use more natural collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “when,” and “even if.” Most of the meaning remains clear, and the sentence “As a result, they feel isolated and lonely as they are unable to build close relationships with the locals” shows an effective attempt to explain cause and effect. Some grammatical errors remain. “Many individuals that move … are required … that can cause” has an unclear relative-clause connection; “Most of the jobs involved” shifts tense unnecessarily; and “Since they struggle to speak fluently in the local language” is a sentence fragment. There are also agreement errors in “jobs that is” and “these people feel lonely and that can lead.” Review clause boundaries, subject–verb agreement, and sentence completeness to improve accuracy.
