Student answer (Band 5.5)
Living in a country where people speak a foreign language can create social and practical difficulties. I largely agree this statement due to primary is language barrier can make everyday activity challenging. Also prevent people from the building strong relationship with local community.
From my perspective, there are many disadvantage to interact with foreign culture as well as can't understand their expression. First and foremost, students usually go for abraod for studying so, they need a job for the good lifestyle. Thus, they are not able to interact with local people and job's have to need good understanding with customer and workers. Therefor, students must be know their culture and behaviour.
If the students or people not rely on local culture they are facing several problems such as, students can't participate in college project and local culture.
Language barriers can lead to serious social problems. People who cannot express their thoughts clearly may find it difficult to make friends or participate in community activities. For instance international students feel isolated if they can not understand conversation of local people.
However, i do not believe these problems are impossible to overcome. People can attend foreign language classes regulary and do hard work as well as they watching foreign country movies so they becomming able to understand their language, ton, expression and culture easily.
In conclusion, I largly agree with this statement that it can be difficulty of social and practical problems to go for direct interacting or builde strong relationship with local people. Although, people try to understand foreign language calmly and they spends time to learn foreign language. Thus, they will not facing any difficulty on social or practical problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is stated in the introduction (“I largely agree”), and you address both social difficulties, such as isolation and trouble making friends, and practical ones, such as finding work and communicating with customers or colleagues. The example of international students feeling isolated is relevant. However, the practical-problem discussion is unclear and not fully explained, while the paragraph about students’ participation in college projects is brief and difficult to follow. Your conclusion also introduces the idea that learning the language removes the difficulties, but this qualification is not developed enough to show precisely how far you agree. Develop each main point with a clear explanation and a specific example, and keep your position consistent throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the paragraph about social isolation follows logically from your main position. You also use signposts such as “First and foremost,” “However” and “In conclusion.” However, progression is uneven: the first body paragraph combines studying abroad, employment and cultural understanding without clearly connecting them, and the next paragraph repeats the point about students’ difficulties. Some linking phrases are inaccurate or make relationships unclear, as in “If the students or people not rely on local culture they are facing several problems.” Organise each paragraph around one main idea, explain it in sequence, and use clear references and transitions rather than relying on signposting alone.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “language barrier,” “local community,” “isolated” and “participate in community activities.” These choices help communicate the central ideas, and you attempt some less common expressions related to culture and interaction. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or repetitive, as in “disadvantage to interact with foreign culture,” “job's have to need good understanding” and “difficulty of social and practical problems.” Spelling errors such as “abraod,” “Therefor” and “largly” also reduce accuracy. Build a more reliable range of natural phrases for discussing communication, employment and social integration, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional idea (“If the students or people…”) and a concession beginning “Although.” However, many sentences contain errors in clause structure, verb forms, agreement and articles, which sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “I largely agree this statement due to primary is language barrier” lacks a correct grammatical connection, while “they are facing several problems” does not fit the conditional structure that precedes it. There are also incomplete constructions, such as “Although, people try…” used as a standalone sentence. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and tense before adding complex clauses.
