Student answer (Band 5.0)

Residing in a country to speak their native language could effect sociaty concerns in addition technical causes.

First of all when you new in a country which language is far diffrent than your language usual language can be a issue for some time but with a time you get invovoled in their culture and many more activities such as their rituals festivals so you only not find out their native language also their culture, for instance if you are in a festival like christmas so you absorve many thing which they are doing although you don not fully aware of their spoken language while there and not serious issue about practical concern as well, like when you don not aware of something and can be done front of foreigner so they know he or she is unfaimlier with this job or other activities, more over foreigners might get angry on you it does not mean this is concern for their society.

While it is believe that in some countries when you are new it might get you in trouble like when you want to eat something in resturant and you have language bearer so it can be a issue for them although it can be resolve by the time. The second one which practical concerns might be problem too, for instance if someone asks you to make me a coffe or other drinks and you don not what to do precisely also practical issue.

Consequently it is not a high rise issue that you don not know foreign language can bring effects on their social and practical life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You take a position that language-related social and practical problems are not very serious, and you include relevant examples such as joining festivals and ordering food in a restaurant. However, the response only partially addresses the question: the opening is difficult to interpret, and the discussion does not clearly explain the extent of your agreement or distinguish social problems from practical ones. Some examples are mentioned but not developed—for instance, the restaurant situation is not explained beyond saying it may be an issue. To strengthen the response, state your position clearly in the introduction, then explain how language barriers affect relationships or access to services, supporting each point with a specific example and a clear link to your view.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: the response begins with an introduction, moves to examples, and uses a concluding sentence. Connectors such as “First of all,” “While,” and “Consequently” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, the overall progression is not consistently clear. The first body paragraph combines festivals, practical concerns, and other people’s reactions in one long sequence, while “The second one” does not clearly identify the point it refers to. Several ideas are joined with “and” or “although,” making relationships between them difficult to follow. Use separate paragraphs for social and practical effects, and make each paragraph develop one main idea with clear reference and linking.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “native language,” “culture,” “practical concerns,” and “foreign language.” This gives the response a basic range, but word choice, collocation, and spelling errors are frequent enough to make some parts difficult to understand. For example, “effect sociaty concerns” and “language bearer” do not express the intended meanings clearly, while “absorve many thing” is inaccurate and imprecise. Repetition of “issue” and “problem” also limits variety. Build a reliable set of topic phrases and check spelling and word forms; for example, describe “communication barriers” and “social integration” rather than relying repeatedly on “issue.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses beginning with “when,” “while,” and “if.” This shows some effort to express relationships between ideas. However, complex sentences are often faulty or run together, and frequent errors in sentence structure, verb forms, articles, and agreement can make the meaning hard to follow. For example, “when you new in a country” lacks a verb, and “if someone asks you to make me a coffe” has an unclear pronoun relationship. Punctuation is also needed to separate several long sequences. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them using one subordinate clause at a time.
