Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You take a clear overall position by stating, “I strongly agree,” and you discuss both social and practical consequences, as well as acknowledging benefits such as showing respect and improving career prospects. These points are relevant to the question. However, the response only partially develops its argument: the examples about being ridiculed and workplace language expectations are difficult to follow, and the practical problems are not explained as clearly as the social ones. Your conclusion says the positive side is smaller, but the essay does not consistently establish how the practical difficulties support your degree of agreement. Develop each main point with a clear explanation and a specific, easy-to-follow example, and make your position consistent throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic essay structure, with an introduction, body paragraphs and a concluding statement. The movement from social difficulties to possible benefits gives the reader a general sense of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear: the first body paragraph moves from learning a language to ridicule, then to an office example without clearly connecting these points. Linking phrases such as “Along with bunch of problem” and “Overall” are attempted, but some are inaccurate or do not show the relationship between ideas precisely. Referencing is also sometimes confusing, particularly repeated uses of “you” and “your.” Organise each paragraph around one main idea, then explain and illustrate it in sequence, using clear references and more precise transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “daily gatherings,” “social gatherings,” “pronunciation,” “career growth” and “development.” This shows some ability to discuss language and social integration. However, the range is limited and several spelling, word-form and collocation errors make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “spacially,” “radiculed,” “had imited words” and “less proportioned.” Some expressions are also unnatural, including “a technology through which he can communicate” and “adds a burden on your daily life.” Aim for accurate, natural phrases rather than trying to use complex wording. Proofread spelling carefully and learn topic-specific collocations, for example “face practical difficulties” and “be excluded from social conversations.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a sentence beginning “For instance” and a contrast introduced by “Along with.” However, control is inconsistent, and frequent errors in sentence structure, verb forms, articles and agreement sometimes make the meaning hard to follow. For example, “it become the necessity” lacks correct verb agreement and article use, while “you had be joked” has an incorrect verb construction. The sentence about the office environment is also difficult to parse because its clauses are not joined in a clear grammatical structure. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with subordinate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement, verb forms and articles, and use full stops to separate ideas when a sentence becomes difficult to control.
