Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You take a clear position by saying “i totally agree” and identify relevant effects, including low self-esteem, isolation and difficulties running a business. These points address both social and practical problems, and the business example begins to illustrate a practical consequence. However, the response only partially develops the task: the business example is difficult to follow, and the discussion of isolation ends without explaining its effects or giving a supporting example. The conclusion is also absent, so your position is not reinforced at the end. The response is 21 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop your ideas. Extend each main point with a clear explanation and a specific example, then add a brief conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some organisation: the response opens with your opinion and uses “On the one hand” and “Furthermore” to introduce two points. The reader can identify a general movement from practical difficulties to social isolation. However, progression within the paragraphs is often unclear. For example, the sentence beginning “For instance in the person has gone for business” is hard to connect to the preceding explanation, and the final paragraph stops before completing its point. Several ideas are joined in long, loosely punctuated sentences, while references such as “this situation” and “the person” are not always precise. Use one clear main idea per paragraph, connect each example explicitly to that idea, and finish with a conclusion. More accurate, varied linking and clearer sentence boundaries would make the organisation easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “language barriers,” “isolation,” “low self esteem” and “practical issue.” These choices show that you can identify the main concepts. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear, such as “carer stagnation,” “business submit,” “health relatin issues” and “lack of o expression.” Spelling and word-form errors are also noticeable, including “daliy” and “frustrated” used where the sentence requires a different form. These problems sometimes make the reader work to understand your point. Build a small set of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and collocations carefully; prefer clear expressions such as “career progression” and “difficulty expressing feelings” over uncertain wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, for example the sentence beginning “Being unable to speak or communicate…” and the explanation introduced by “this is because.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors affect clarity. Examples include “one need to speak,” “language barriers is,” “the person involved get frustrated,” and “could amounted to isolation,” which show problems with agreement and verb forms. Articles and sentence construction are also inconsistent, as in “in foreign language” and “For instance in the person has gone.” Capitalisation and punctuation errors, including lower-case “i” and missing spaces after commas, further interrupt reading. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, complete sentence patterns and punctuation before adding more complex clauses.
